^Checked^ - Chapter Eight

Amy's POV

After eating our starters and ordering our main course, me and Adym waited thirty minutes and a very rushed looking Nick arrives with out food.

"Thank you." I take the food and pick up my knife and fork.

"Cheers Nick, are you busy after work?" Adym asks.

"Nah, it's a usual Monday. Of course not." He replies nodding.

"I could throw a party tonight if I get my mum out the house with Sawyer..." He says looking at me.

"Ahh Sawyer... how is he? After that thing with Ashley?" Nick asks. He looks at me and back at Adym.

Adym glares at him and clears his throat.

"I'll message you later." He says walking away.

I raise my eyebrow looking at him. "Care to explain?" I ask.

"I- er can we discuss this later. It's not something I'd like to talk about while eating.

"Who's Ashley?" I ask getting annoyed.

He sighs and puts his fork down. He wipes his mouth with his napkin and looks at me.

"You know when I was at yours and I said my ex rang me? That's Ashley. I'll explain the rest later." He sighs and takes a sip of his beer.

"You better..." I mumble, eating.

Adym's POV

We walk out the restaurant holding hands, walking to the car.

"Adym you can't drive." Amy's says.

"Why?" I chuckle, getting the keys out.

"You've had a drink." She simply says.

"Oh shit yeah... um." I think.

"We could get a taxi and pick it up in the morning?" She asks.

I nod and ring a taxi.

When the taxi finally arrives, we both get in the back and talk until we are home.

I pay the driver and get out. Amy jumps out and walks round to me.

"Thank you for tonight." She smiles looking up at me.

"You're very welcome princess." I lean down and kiss her nose. She giggles and looks at me.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" She asks holding my hand.

"I hope so." I smile.

She gives me a quick kiss and walks to her house. I wave goodbye and watch her walk into her house. I smile and walk to my house across the road. I open the door to see a not so happy Sawyer standing there.

"Well hello sunshine." He says smirking.

"Hi..." I say awkwardly walking to the kitchen.

"Nick rang." He says following me.

"Good for him... what did he say?" I ask getting a glass of juice.

"That he saw you pair at work." He replies sitting on the side.

"And... you knew I was going out with Amy tonight." I say shrugging my shoulders.

"He mentioned some sort of party happening tonight."

"Happening where?" I ask curious.

"Well he said his house as you wouldn't throw one."

"Why do I need to know this information?" I ask.
