EID MUBARAK 💝🎉🎁

I pray you all are in the best state of health and imaan after having finished the beautiful month of Ramadan. May we all be blessed enough to witness it next year if Allah ‎ﷻ wills.
Make sure you continue your ibadah and salah and Quran reading just as you did in Ramadan and even more than that. Don't do the opposite and think that it is acceptable to let go just because Ramadan has finished.

I pray you all had a joyful day with your friends and family, enjoying their companionship and appreciating their love (and appreciating the food).

Here is my (belated) Eid gift to every single one of you. I pray it was worth the wait and that you enjoy. 💕

DON'T FORGET TO FAST SIX EXTRA DAYS OF SHAWWAL

"Fasting six days of Shawwaal after the obligatory fast of Ramadaan is Sunnah Mustahabbah, not waajib. It is recommended for the Muslim to fast six days of Shawwaal, and in this there is great virtue and an immense reward. Whoever fasts these six days will have recorded for him a reward as if he had fasted a whole year, as was reported in a saheeh hadeeth from the Prophet . Abu Ayyoob (may Allaah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allaah said: "Whoever fasts Ramadaan and follows it with six days of Shawwaal, it will be as if he fasted for a lifetime."
(Narrated by Muslim, Abu Dawood, al-Tirmidhi, al-Nisaa'i and Ibn Maajah)."

Since none of you liked A'ishah's POV....

"A'ishah?"

"Yes?" She answered, looking up from the Quran in her hands and staring at me with a soft smile. I loved her smile. Every time she smiled at me, I felt a giddy feeling. As sappy as that sounded it was true. Simply seeing her smile made me smile back widely. Grin even.

"I'm going to the hospital now." I said to her and she nodded, her smile turning to a frown. "Don't forget the biryani I put in the microwave." She said and I shook my head, swallowing and giving her a frown. "He lost his ability to eat whole foods recently." I told her, making her gasp.

"Oh, I'm sorry." She told me sadly. I swallowed the lump in my throat, nodding numbly as I left, shutting the door behind me with a sigh.

She was adamant on making biryani at least once a week for Walter because she knew that he enjoyed it. Or rather, used to enjoy it. At this point, after weeks of chemotherapy and radio therapy, pain and suffering Walter was no longer the Walter I had come to know. He was frail, skinny, weak, in constant pain and not able to do much. Last week he lost his ability to eat and was on a purée menu as well as only liquids.

He could barely keep his eyes open throughout the day from all the medication and wasn't able to walk without support.

Seeing his condition go worse day for day was not easy.

I got into the car and drove to Ahmad's house, beeping the horn once I arrived and pulled into the driveway.

He came out soon after, getting into the passenger seat and greeting me with salam.

"Wa alaykum salam." I answered with a frown.

"Did you hear?" He asked and I exhaled, pulling onto the road and nodding my head in response.
