Bismillah...- A'ISHAH'S POV -
"Oh my gosh! You're here!"
I looked up, seeing Hanifah rushing towards me, dodging the old aunties sitting down and chatting and laughing on the carpeted floor of the masjid. I shushed her loud voice, a faint smile still covering my face as I glanced at a bubbly looking Samira behind her.
"Mrs Patterson." Samira stated, smirking at me as she crossed her arms over her chest. I pulled my niqab down and shook my head, walking with them to an empty corner of the masjid.
"I didn't take his surname, thank you very much." I spoke, making them chuckle. Despite surnames not being a part of Islam, in this day and age, I still did have one and I wasn't planning on taking King's. There was no point. I only ever used my surname for bills, documents and all those things.
I was A'ishah bint Hudhayfah. Nothing else.
"Well..." Samira encouraged, looking at me with wide eyes. "What happened? I've been wondering if you were even alive since you left us after jumu'ah." She laughed, making me recall how badly I was sweating and hyperventilating, knowing I would be leaving to get married.
"Nothing happened. We ate lunch, watched YouTube, had dinner, went somewhere with a view, talked and now we're here." I mumbled simply, not wanting to get into any details, not that there was much to explain really. That basically is all we had done.
"My baby's all grown up and finally a wife." Hanifah said with glossy eyes, making me roll my own.
"Can you stop that? You're such a moist bint." I muttered, smiling at her as she wiped a tear from her cheek. I chuckled and leaned over, hugging her tightly as she hugged me back.
"You're more moist." Hanifa mumbled, making me smile as we pulled away. It was true. I was probably the most emotional out of all three of us.
"How's his family?" Samira asked, snapping the both of us out of our intimate moment.
"I don't want to expose any of what happens with me and his family." I told them and she nodded with a frown.
"Whatever happens, may Allah make you content with it, habibti." She said, smiling and I thanked her, saying Ameen.
"When are you inviting us over for a biryani dinner party?" Hanifah grinned cheekily, making me chuckle.
"Maybe let it pass at least 24 hours of me being married before I think about throwing dinner parties, yeah?" I muttered sarcastically and she laughed along with Samira and I, before the adhaan began and we silenced ourselves along with everyone else, preparing to pray salah.

"I saw Ayman." King spoke from beside me while we were driving back to his house and I smiled, asking if he had said anything. "He sent you his salam." He laughed, making me chuckle and shake my head.
