For some reason this chapter didn't let me add a video in the media section. 😒.

The Dangers of Haram Earnings by Mufti Menk- A'ISHAH'S POV -
"And then I'm going to talk about things like intimacy as in, what is permissible, what isn't, when you have to have ghusl, satisfaction of both spouses, communication with the spouse, etc, etc." I explained to King.
Alhamdulillah Hanifa, Samira and I had decided to organise a sisters seminar at the facility regarding topics that culture had deemed as taboo for Muslims. We, along with two other sisters from another youth facility, had been discussing it for a few weeks now and we had finally decided on a date and topics. Today, we were going to do some shopping for the event inshaaAllah.
King smiled as he pulled off the freeway and towards our suburb.
We had just visited Lisa since it was Saturday. She was good today compared to last week. She was more awake and alert, which made King really happy, alhamdulillah.
Whether her condition was getting better overall or not, was a different question altogether. The nurses put in an insane amount of effort for King to be realistic and not get his hopes up. They knew how to deal with families of those palliative care. They were always a source of comfort and support, telling us that Lisa was okay, she wasn't in pain, they were doing everything they possibly can, but at the same time, they never handed out false hope. False hope was just as damaging as harsh reality, if not more damaging.
"I would love to be there, man. To see your face while you talk about pleasing your husband to about fifty girls." He laughed loudly, making my cheeks grow hot.
"I actually think I'm going to be very mature about it." I exhaled, pulling my niqab down a little along my nose.
My phone began ringing and I reached for my bag, taking it out and seeing Beth's name across the top of the screen. "Hey, love." I answered, taking the phone to my ear.
"Girl! Where you at?! Hanifa and Samira are here already. We said 12pm, remember?" She spoke and I smiled while glancing at the time displayed on the dashboard.
"I'm sorry, we just ran a little behind schedule. I'll be there in ten minutes inshaAllah." I spoke and she groaned. Beth had met both Hanifa and Samira once when she dropped me off to my halaqah and much like me, Hanifa and Samira grew fond of her instantly. When I had told Beth about the sisters seminar we were planning, she asked if she could come along to shopping for decorations and the girls were perfectly okay with that.
"Whatever. One minute longer than ten and we're leaving without you." She said before the phone beeped again. I took the phone away from my ear and put it back in my bag and eventually we got back home, seeing the girls standing around Samira's car.
I tensed when I saw a cigarette between Beth's fingers as she inhaled the substance.
This past week, Beth would sometimes smoke in her room and even listen to loud music in her room when King had been out, but I chose not to tell him about those times.
Since he was starting work on Monday, he had been home all week, but quickly found himself getting bored with Beth and I so he spent dhuhr to Maghrib at the masjid, leaving Beth and I at home.
I couldn't blame her. It was not easy to go from one extreme lifestyle to another and I don't think that it was fair that King had expected her to follow all of his do's and don't's as soon as she moved here.
"Is she smoking?" He asked, his eyes turning to slits as he zeroed in on her.
"To be fair, she's not in the house. She's outside." I spoke quickly, making him take in a deep breath and shake his head.
