For me, this means only being able to leave the house for exercise, essential needs shopping, or medical emergencies...For you guys, this means fatima has more free time to write and post a new chapter, so here we are! 🥰

I hope you enjoy it inshaaAllah x

- KING'S POV -

"Is it my turn yet?" Beth's voice came, following her footsteps into the living room from the hallway. She plopped down onto the single seater arm chair meanwhile A'ishah and I occupied the three seater couch.

"Your turn for what?" I asked, not looking at her, but instead, continuing to watch the TV. A'ishah had put on another one of her documentaries and she was thoroughly entranced by what was being shown on the screen.

I wasn't even certain that she had seen or heard Beth yet.

"My turn to watch TV!?" She scoffed while casually biting into her apple as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Clearly it's still in use so no, it isn't your turn. Your turn is when A'ishah turns the TV off."

At that, A'ishah finally snapped back into reality and looked at Beth with wide eyes. "Oh my, I'm sorry! Yes! It's totally your turn." She smiled, pulling her feet off the coffee table and reaching over my lap to get the remote.

"A'ishah, you don't have to stop watching your because of Beth. This is your house." I told her, reminding her of a fact that she clearly knew already.

At my comment, I copped a backhand to the chest by A'ishah as well as a high pitched 'King!'

"This is Beth's home too, and we agreed on taking turns for the TV so you can leave if you don't like our arrangement, thank you." She huffed, making me roll my eyes at her.

"Fine then. I will go." I mumbled jokingly. I really wasn't mad at Beth and A'ishah coming to such agreements. Quite the contrary, it made me quite happy to see them getting along so well, alhamdulillah, but I had to go to bed anyway since I had work tomorrow morning.

"Wait, no. King, I was joking..." A'ishah trailed off, grabbing my forearm before I could turn to leave. I smiled at her.

"I was kidding, love. It's fine. I'm getting tired anyway." I comforted, leaning down and pressing a kiss onto her forehead.

She told me she'd be in soon and I nodded, walking out of the room and having wudhu so I could read some Qur'an before sleeping.

After drying off my arms and face with the towel, I went into the room to change out of my jeans and put on some joggers and while I was wearing them, I heard the bedroom door open. I knew that A'ishah had come in. She waddled her way to the bed before sitting down with a dramatic huff and watching me change my shirt.

"Remember the times that you couldn't even look at me changing." I told her, even though she still turned away when I was changing my bottoms, at least we made progress with the upper half.
