You are lounging in the Poseidon cabin, faking sick just to avoid going outside. Your half-brother Percy had taken your diary and read it out loud, during a game of truth or dare with all of your friends.

You know you probably shouldn't have written down who you liked.

A loud knock on the door startles you, and causes you to fall off the bed.

"Come in!" You yell, standing up and smoothing the wrinkles out of your orange shirt and black shorts. You figure it's one of your friends, maybe Piper or Annabeth. Instead, it's him. The one you wrote about. Leo.

"Hey, ____." He grins, looking at you. You feel the heat radiating off your face as you look away.

"Hey, Leo." You mutter shyly as you sit on the edge of your bunk.

He sits down beside you, and pokes your side. "You okay? You haven't been out of your cabin in days. Some people thought you died, ____."

"I'm not okay!" You shout, burying your face into your hands. "My brother told everyone that I liked you!"

He pulls your hands down, and looks into your eyes. "Um, did you tune him out? He never said that."

You feel your face flushing even more than before, as you look away. You turn back for a second, and giggle. Leo's nose is on fire. Concentrating on your powers, you send a stream of water down to extinguish the flame.

You gather your courage, and lean in to kiss his cheek.
