It had been a few hours since I had left the infirmary. Not many people noticed that I was actually out of the coma I was put in a while ago. Though I came back to hang out with my friends, it wasn't the same.
They explained to me most of the things that had happened to her, from their point of views, which were all different. I love her so much that I'd do anything to protect her but it seems she doesn't need protection anymore. "Nico, bro you've been zoning out all morning"
"Sorry Connor, just thinking about things."
Leo looked up from the gears he was fiddling with to stare at me. "Thinking 'bout Emi ey?" he said with a smirk, I nodded. How did he know? I turned to look at the infirmary from where we were sitting, the Apollo children rushed in and out of the building. I slowly got up and started heading towards the infirmary.
"Where you goin' bro?!" Leo yelled I turned to look at him "I wanna be there when she wakes up," The curly haired boy nodded as I walked away. We were quite far away from the building. My head snapped to the side when I heard Will's shout.
"I need all of the Apollo children in the infirmary! Now!" I heard the familiar voice yell, puzzled, I made my way to the dispensary, to only hear screams of pain.
"They're everywhere! Why is this happening?!"
As I entered the building I pushed pass multiple children of the sun god. I made my way to the front of the crowd. I couldn't believe what I saw, it was her, she was in a state that I had never seen before. Maybe some would call it 'being on the the edge of insanity' I would call it 'having way too many emotions bottled up inside'
The seven, Connor and Travis had joined my side. We watched as she rocked back and forth muttering words no one understood. "Emily," her head slowly lifted from her knees as she looked at Austin directly in the eyes. He was holding a piece of ambrosia, though in the state she was in, I didn't think she would eat it, and I was right.
While some other children of Apollo looked through multiple medical books trying to find something that could help, I took a wary step towards her, when she didn't notice me I took a few more quick steps.
"Emi?" Her head snapped in my direction, the first thing I noticed about her appearance is how her usual beautiful sea-foam eyes were now so dark they were almost black. She stared at me in shock, as if trying to find an answer, to what? I don't know. She just kept staring at me, until she yelled.
"Go away! You're not real! You're just my imagination!"
Insanity. Yeah. You could say that.
I jumped slightly when I heard her yell, she had never yelled. Well, if she did, she didn't do it often. Though I wondered why she would think I wasn't real. I mean, I was physically there.
"Emily..." I said as my voiced cracked, I could feel tears start to sting my eyes. I wanted to break down crying with her, did I do this? I felt someone put their hand on my shoulder, I turned my head slowly in their direction, Leo stood beside me, his eyes were filled with tears too, which only made me want to cry more.
"Give her a hug dude," he said with a smile, though his voice cracked I knew he was trying to sound happy. Yet as I looked around I saw nobody was smiling like they were earlier, almost everyone (even some of the Apollo children that were standing close by) had tears in their eyes, or were just plainly weeping.
I turned my gaze back towards Emily, she had her face in her hands, I could tell she was crying. I looked at her sadly before tackling her in a hug, which made her fall backward onto the bed. She let out a small yelp of surprise before struggling to get out of my grip. That only made me hug her tighter.
After maybe a minute she stopped struggling, I heard many sighs of relief in the background, then heavy sobbing, which came from under me. I sat up letting the tears in my eyes fall as she hugged me.
"I missed you so much,"
"I know, I'm sorry, so sorry" I whispered. I heard a lot of shuffling in the back, then silence. I could feel we were alone. "I love you" she sobbed into my shoulder. "I love you too" I whispered as I silently cried.
It might have been ten minutes or an hour, but we had decided it was time to head outside. She looked OK, mentally maybe not. But physically she was perfectly fine. "Hey, Emi?" She turned her head to look up at me as I was a few inches taller than her. "Yeah?"
I looked away into the distance then back at her "It's the full moon tonight." I guess she got the hint since her eyes widened in shock. "You want me to turn you?" I felt my cheeks flush, I didn't know why. She just looked more adorable than usual. (mind you, she was always adorable.)
"Yeah," I said as I continued walking forward. "Okay," she said, the sun was setting, the orange colors waving over us. "It's gonna hurt though" I nodded, I didn't want her to relive what she did alone. If it were to happen again. It would kill me.
She grabbed the sleeve of my aviator jacket dragging me into the forest. She pulled me pass the border, we continued walking until we reached a fallen log, curfew was around ten p.m which meant we had about four hours to wait until the moon was visible in the sky.
We sat down and talked for about two hours. Now I know what you're thinking "two demigods from the big three, isn't that like a call to monsters? Well. Kinda. We could just run back to camp.
We waited for awhile, the moon was up in the sky, I noticed multiple constellations I could recognize like the big dipper and what not. "You ready? This might hurt.... A lot." I nodded trying to be as calm as possible. She was wearing a camp half-blood hoodie, I didn't know where she got it since they didn't give out hoodies, but I guessed Piper made it.
As I pondered about random things, I felt a sudden sting in the skin of my neck. It felt like sharp knives were being pushed into it, I wanted to scream in pain, yet all noise that left my mouth was a faint dog-like whimper. One that Emily makes when she accidentally stubs her toe on something.
I could feel my body reacting to the liquid-like poison was being poured into my bloodstream. I felt drowsy like I wanted to sleep, why did I do this gain?
Man, these past chapters been intense. ;') Hang in there! It gets better!
