Chapter 21 - Adventure! Yay?

The three campers looked around as everyone left the big house courtyard, the infamous Leo Valdez came up to the young lady "I see you've got your own quest" the Latino said as he slightly wiggled his eyebrows.

The girl blushed, still aware that her boyfriend was beginning to become twice as protective as he usually would. Nico, looked away silently growling (which took him by surprise), he turned to Emily in alarm, the sensation he felt was something he was going to have to get used too.

The black haired girl just smiled as she took his arm leading them to their group of friends, the two other boys trailing behind. Leo and Connor watched as their two best friends looked at each other lovingly "I feel as though Nico's gotten more... how to put it? Touchy touchy feely feely, y'know what I mean?" Leo asked, making Connor look at him questioningly.

"Emi! I didn't know your middle name was Grace!" Jason said enthusiastically. The black haired girl's face darkened as Nico visibly tensed (as well for Percy in the background who stared at Jason wide-eyed). "I don't know Jason is my middle name Grace?" She glared at him not fond of abording the subject. The tall boy tilted his head in confusion, his gaze landing on Leo who just shrugged in return. He could only think that the blond boy was asking 'why is she acting like that?'

The girl walked away towards cabin three, now annoyed. Nico stayed put not knowing if he should go with her or not. He went with the latest. Nico, Leo, and Connor talked for a while before the three boys headed to their cabins themselves, this week was going to be a hard one.

The next morning, everyone was out of their cabins at surprisingly similar times. Emily, Nico, and Connor had their backpacks ready and packed for the trip with what they needed, ex: hygiene products, nectar, ambrosia, energy bars, water, bandages, extra clothes. They were all set.

The three campers headed to the pavilion together for breakfast, as it was early morning. Once they had finished eating (which also consisted in giving half of their plate to the gods,) the entire gang, which included; Annabeth, Hazel, Frank, Percy, Jason, Piper, Travis, Connor, Nico, Leo, and Emily, followed closely by Chiron headed to the camp gate.

Nico gently Grabbed his girlfriends waist (making her blush deeply). Most of them laughed as Annabeth complained to the son of Poseidon about 'not being affectionate enough' and 'how he never does that'.

The couple let go of each other while Chiron explained they didn't have a time limit, which usually isn't the best kind of news. "Emi come here," Percy said as he bent down to her level to hug her, letting go he said "Don't die ok? (He looked towards his sister's boyfriend) You." He got up towering over the shorter boy. "Please protect her," the dark-eyed teenager nodded trying to keep his face from heating up.

"We're going to miss you guys," the young girl brought her hands up to cover her face as she was tearing up, alerting the two boys standing next to her immediately. "Don't stress it! We'll probably see each other again!" The Latino boy said as he put a hand on the shorter girl's shoulder. Emily smiled softly her waist-length hair dancing in the wind. "Thanks" she put her hand in his hair messing it up "NOOoo my hair," she laughed as Leo ran off to who knows where? "Bye guys" (there was a big group hug but let's not talk about that) 

And with that, they started their quest.

"So, the vow 'they head to the place where nobody lives'; where do you think that is?" Emily looked at Connor from the corner of her eye, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration. "Probably in the desert or something." She answered shrugging.
