=====================

For people who were very prone to attract monsters, they were doing a very good job at not attracting any. Half an hour ago, Emily, Nico, and Connor had headed to Olympus to drop off Eros' stolen bow. Now, they were very aware that it was a very long walk from the empire state building to Long Island but, they had to get there as quickly as possible.

"What day is it? I know I already asked but we've been out here for almost a month without a change of clothes." Emily complained. It was true, they hadn't been able to have a change of clothes nor eat a proper meal during this quest. "Let me go ask somebody," and with that Nico walked off.

Connor and Emily stood there on the sidewalk impatiently waiting for Nico to return. "They probably think we're dead or something." The girl mumbled catching the curly-headed boy's attention "What do you mean? Of course, they won't think we're dead." He snapped, but he didn't seem so sure himself since he quickly looked away.

Nico walked back to his friends looking quite disappointed. "What's wrong?" Both Connor and Emily asked in sync. Nico quickly shrugged running his fingers through his hair nervously. "I couldn't find what day it was today, but um... (he paused looking around) there's a few Cyclops' around the corner," his voice was monotone as if it was a normal thing, (which it was)

Emily's nose twitched as she backed away from the boys, confusing them. They covered their eyes as bright blue light lit up the street. Once it had dimmed, Nico got the hint and transformed himself into a wolf as well.

They all knew that Emily and Nico had super human strength and that they could run really fast, but they were quite a few hours from Long Island and they wouldn't be able to lose those monsters.

Emily and Nico quickly ran down the street avoiding cars as they did so. Connor quickly caught up due to his speed, though it was harder for him to run since he needed to avoid people on the sidewalk.

It wasn't very dark outside, even though the sun was setting many people were walking home and so, pictures were being taken of a boy and two wolves running around.

People stopped and stared for the few seconds the three teenagers ran passed them, unfortunately for them, the police had been alerted that two wolves had been released and were heading towards Long Island.

Around midnight, the three teenagers had stopped running and were now setting up camp for the night on the side of the road. Because it's obviously the best decision to take. It was now Emily's turn to keep watch on the two boys that were sleeping.

A twig snapped close by making the black haired girl turn her head in that direction, "Oh come on! You can't leave us alone can you?" she huffed, "Honestly, you guys annoy me to death."

Walking towards the general direction the twig snapped, she kept complaining about 'how monsters are so freaking annoying.' Stopping in her tracks, she gasped at the miniature Hellhound that was stood in front of her.

"Awwww you're so cute!" she squealed, taking a step back from it as she surprised herself with a positive attitude, she cleared her throat while picking it up. "This is completely safe," she mumbled.

Walking back to where they had set up camp, she kicked Nico and Connor's legs to wake them up, when it didn't work she kicked them both repeatedly for about five minutes until she heard a groan from one of them. "Sometimes I wonder if you guys aren't children of Hypnos."
