"Yay! Go Gabe!" I yelled out, cheering on Gabe at his baseball game. 4-5, 6th inning. They can still win this thing! I was sitting in the bleachers with Avery sitting next to me and my Dad on the other side. Next to Dad was Mom, then it was Jennifer. It had been five weeks since I saved Avery's life from certain death. Now, I was a part of the theater group at River City High. Hey, I just wanted to be a part of the spotlight. I do have a good voice. As it turns out I can act. The play that I am in, I got one of the lead roles for our play, Mary Poppins. I am really excited to do this, I hadn't done anything extreme like this in a long time. It would certainly be an adventure to see where that journey takes me.

Gabe is now up at bat. He had struck out the 3rd inning, 4th he hit a homerun and 5th he ran to first base. Hopefully he can make this one and bring it up for the team. I looked at Avery next to me. He saw me staring at him, so he glanced back at me. We both smiled at each other. The warmth in our hearts spread across our faces. We looked back at the game, not wanting to miss a big moment. But every moment is a big moment for Gabe.

Gabe raised the bat, both hands together. He stared the pitcher deep in the eye. His focus when it comes to baseball was very stern. Nothing could distract him. When it comes to a test or learning a lesson, he barely focuses at the task at hand. The pitcher flung the baseball out of his hand. At the right time, Gabe hit the ball with a crack of impact. The baseball flew straight out. Gabe dropped the bat and started to run. His hands running back and forth to make himself go fast. The baseball hit the ground, it was far enough for him to get to second base. Cheering roared all around me. I stood up from my seating yelling out Gabe's name. Dirt flew out of his cleats that hit the ground hard. When he was close to second base, the other team got hold of the baseball and started throwing it. Gabe was just feet from the base now, he went down for a slide to the square. Dirt flew in his face and all around his body. He touched the base just before the catcher could grab the baseball. "Safe!" rang the umpire. Dad and Avery sprang from their seats and started to whoop and yell. A smile spread across my face when Gabe stood up from the ground. Dirt was all over his white and blue uniform. I wiped off most of the dirt but the dirt still clung to his jersey and pants. His face was coated with a light sweat, a faint smile spread across his face.

After the game was over, Gabe's team won in the last inning. 7-6, A great come back for the team. When we were driving home that day, Mom didn't say a word about why I wasn't home the day of my adventure. I guessed that Dad had told her what happened and she just decided not to say anything on the matter. Come to think of it, Gabe didn't say anything either. But I didn't want to go talk about that whole adventure all over again. That was behind me and I was becoming a new young woman.

Avery drove with us and so did Jennifer. They came back to our house with us since they were invited to drive to the game with us. We would be having a party for Gabe's team victory. Some members of our family were watching the game and their cars were following us from behind. They were coming to our house to celebrate the victory.

Avery's mom offered that he could stay for the party and hang out with me. Avery hasn't been over at my house for months now. After all, it was Friday.

When the car screeched to a stop, I quickly unbuckled my seatbelt and dashed out of the car door that flew open. Avery trailed behind me as I was running to our front porch. I flung the door open and ran into the house. I turned right to dash up my stairs. I heard Avery's feet behind me as I ran. When I started to slow down to get into my room, I looked around the room again. Something had definitely changed.

Harry Potter posters hung straight in places on the wall. My mirror and furniture was in the same place, but the look of it just seemed a bit changed. The mirror had more pictures taped on there. There was one of Avery and me making silly faces at a photoshoot. As I looked down the photo, the end was us hugging each other and giving sweet smiles. I smirked at the photo remembering that we took those photos at the mall. There were more photos of me and Gabe in our recent age. Then there was one of Mom, Dad, Gabe and me. Mom's arms were wrapped around me just above my chest. Her face was sitting gently on my shoulder. While Dad hugged us both with that sweet smile on his face. Gabe was standing close next to Dad, folding his arms and smiling stupendously. My hands were holding Mom's arms. I smirked very proudly and wide. I loved my family all too much, the thought of losing one of them is unbearable. The same photos from before were there, but they were newer. I had connected with my old friends from California. As it turns out some of them are living near River City and I got to visit them. I was glad to learn that they hadn't forgotten about me. Overall, my room was neater and it seemed more brighter. I had added new light bulbs to the lamps, since I noticed that they were getting a bit dull.

"Wow! Your room has changed, Canada." I looked behind me, Avery was looking around the room in astonishment. His mouth hung wide, his body turning 180 degrees multiple times. I laughed at his face. I walked slowly toward him. He looked around the room until his eyes stared upon the painting from my first birthday. I looked at the painting too. Remembering the pictures that were taken, how cute I looked. How young looking my parents were. How little Gabe was. Those memories started flooding into my head as a joy and comfort. No more was that my only good memory. I had other ones now.

Instantly, I heard loud music roar downstairs. I started to hear people swarming into the house and talking instantly. I smiled remembering that there is a party. I looked at Avery.

"We had better get down there and go socialize." I joked a bit. Avery turned his face at me. He smiled sweetly.

"Yeah, you can show me some things on your phone when we get down there." I smirked at the offer. Of course. "Yes, we will do that. But first, we need to go and talk to a few people. There really are some members of my family that I want you to meet." He nodded his head. I felt something slip into my hand. It was Avery's hand. He gripped my hand tight, as I did his. We turned our bodies and headed out the door, still holding our hands. As one.

The party went on for a couple of hours. Two pairs of my aunts and uncles congratulating me on my part in Mary Poppins. They all said that they would come to see my performance. I felt more noticed by my relatives as each one came by to talk to me. When I finished talking to one of my Dad's friends, I looked around the room and studied the scene. I saw Gabe and Jennifer dancing in the middle of the family room. Mother talking to my aunt Nerissa in the kitchen while their held their cups laughing together. Aunt Nerissa married my Uncle Fred from my Dad's side. Dad was hugging one of his friends from Arizona near his study. They have been friends since elementary school and after all these years they have been best friends. Sometimes during the summer, Bryan, will come with his wife and stay for a few nights and hang out with Dad and go golfing. I think my Dad was a twenty handicap, but I think Bryan was a seventeen handicap. Whenever I was invited to go with them, I turned them down thinking that it would be awful. Now, I am trying to pick up golf as an alternative hobby.

I looked around the room and smiled. Maybe I could dance for a little bit. I looked around the room looking for Avery. He was talking with my Uncle Fred. I walked behind Avery and tapped him on his shoulder. He turned around, when he saw me he smiled.

"Canada, your uncles are very interesting!" He exclaimed. I smirked at his enthusiasm. "Us Isles know how to intrigue an individual." I joked. Avery laughed at the remark. I took hold of his hand and dragged him to the family room where Gabe and Jennifer were. Upbeat music was playing in the speakers. I started to dance and invite him to dance. He started dancing with me as Gabe and Jennifer were dancing to their hearts' content.

The evening went on for a little while. Then one by one, relatives started to leave. I bid them all safe travels. When the last relative left, we cleaned up the house. It wasn't that messy, we were cleaning up pieces of party cup during the party. But we did have to rearrange the chairs from the family room. I was tired, the party last for the longest time celebrating Gabe's victory. I said goodnight to my family and went to my room. I laid on my bed in my new room and went to sleep. Knowing that I had the best night of my life in a long time.
