Chapter 14: His

Ayuna's POV

"Ma," I said while sobbing.

Until now, wala pa rin si Sed. The kids had been asking where's there daddy. At napapatanga nalang ako saka sasabihin na nasa business trip siya.

Nasa kwarto kami ngayon kasama si Mama. Si Papa naman busy sa pakikiusap sa mga pulis. While the kids are playing with Nanay Opelia.

It's been three days since he stopped calling, or even texting me. Hindi na siya umuuwi ng bahay. Where's he now?

"It's okay anak, we'll find out soon." Pagpapatahan ni Mama saakin habang hinahagod ang likuran ko.

"Ma, I don't know what to do already." Umiiyak na sabi ko.

Hindi ko alam kung nasaan siya. And I don't even know what's he doing right now.

"Your Papa will handle it okay?" Dagdag pa ni Mama.

I nodded slowly.

Where are you Sed?

Mama told me they'll take care of the kids, while I stroll by myself here at the mall.

Para daw mawala ang stress ko, lalo na I'm pregnant.

I missed him already. It's almost four days. He's four days gone.

Nasaan na ba kasi siya? I have no idea where he went.

Nakatingin ako sa mga gamit ng mga baby. Naalala ko si Sed bigla, tuwing bibili kami noon ng mga gamit nila Ark at Nathan, dapat lagi siyang kasama kasi siya daw dapat ang pipili ng para sa mga boys niya.

He's such a humble, and a good father. But where did he go?

He suddenly left us without even giving any signs nor telling us.

"Hey,"

Napalingon ako sa nagsalita.

...It's Marco.

It's him again. "Uhm, Hey." I tried to speak.

"Magisa ka lang?" He asked. I nodded.

"Mind if I join you, Mrs.Lonesome?" He asked as he laughs.

Napatawa ako. Mrs.Lonesome? Do I really look like one?

"Sure." I said.

"What about you?" He asked me. Tinignan ko lang ang mga fruit shakes nila.

"Mixed Berry Shake?" I suggested. He smiled and ordered the shake.

"Tara," wika niya saka kinuha ang mga bitbit kong pinamili.

I just bought some clothes for the twins and some clothes for me too.

"Oh," nai-usal ko nang hawakan niya ang kamay ko saka inilakad ako.

His hands were warm, and big. His hands were like Sed's. His hands fitted perfectly on mine.

Napailing ako. What the heck am I thinking?

Wala lang si Sed and I'm doing this already.

Tinanggal ko na ang kamay ko sa pagkakahawak niya and then we took  a seat.

"So, how's life?" He suddenly asks.

Medyo matagal tagal na rin kasi noong huli kaming nagkita. "We're fine," I said.

"But, Sed is,..  missing? I guess." I added, not sure  about what I'm saying.

"Missing?" He asks.

"Hindi pa kasi siya umuuwi. And it's already the 4th day," sambit ko.

Tumango lang siya and says "Hope you'll see him soon." He bothered saying.

We ate dinner together then walked for a bit before going home. Hinatid niya na rin ako. He's a real gentleman.

"Thanks," I told him.

"Ok lang, just call me if you're gonna stroll out again, Okay?" He says. I just nodded.

Sabi niya kasi, I shouldn't be walking around the mall alone. I should be with the kids or someone. So, he offered himself.

"Of course." I answered. Ngumiti siya.

"Gotta go now," He says. And then drives the engine.

Pumasok ako sa bahay at nakita ko agad sila Mama at Papa, pati na rin ang mga bata.

And then, Meron din ang mga pulis.

"A-Ayuna," Mama mutters.

I don't know but, my eyes went blurry. Naluluha na ako.

Nilingon ako ng mga pulis. "Ikaw ba ang asawa ni Mr.Sedric Nate Hidalgo?" Tanong nila saakin.

Tumango ako. "May nagreport saamin kahapon at sa tingin namin sakanya nga ang mga ito." Pormal na hayag nila saka may iniabot saakin.

Ibinaba ko ang mga pinamili ko saka sinuring mabuti ang mga gamit.

It's Sed's wallet and his shirt. His shirt.

"D-Dugo," I tried speaking. Lumapit si Mama saakin.

Napahagulgol na ako nang makita kong malinaw na dugo nga ang nasa may bandang collar ng shirt ni Sed.

I cried. Nakatingin lang ang mga bata saakin. Napakainosente nila.

"I-Is he d-dead?" I tried asking them calmly.
