Nancy lay on her bed looking up at the ceiling. The traced the constellations that she drew when she was five, and wished for happier times. She just wanted Mike back, and she was determined to do it.

Marching to Hawkins Lab's new location, she shined her flashlight as she walked, hoping more demonic children wouldn't murder her.

She felt strangely like little red riding hood, but with the spiked bat Johnathan had made with her.

She cringed at the memory, hating what they had become, almost friends. But then he had gotten girlfriend after girlfriend, and eventually disappeared, with no one knowing where he had gone to.

She did miss him, and she secretly missed the time they had spent together, but none of that mattered anymore.

Jumping to the sound of rustling bushes, she waved the bat in front of her. She crept closer, unsure of what might possibly kill her then and there.

She slowly moved away the leaves and found a body. A little child quivering in the bushes looked up at her with big round eyes filled with tears.

She scooped it up and ran to the hospital, the only thing she could really have thought to do. She bursts through the emergency care unit and demands a doctor.

The staff rushes to the child, immediately taking action. They sit Nancy down and ask her to fill out a paper form, but she is shortly confused.

Why would they need to know where she found him? Why would they need to know specifically his clothes? When she raises her hand to ask the question, she realizes everyone is gone.

There is no one in the waiting room. She gets up and goes to the front doors to find them tightly locked, as well as the emergency exits and the windows.

She runs to the phone in the wall and tries to call the police, but there is no dial tone, the cord is cut from the wall.

Hearing foot steps she runs back to her chair, pretending to fill out the paper in tentatively. She turns around with a fake smile, but is only confronted with a white cloth.

The sweet smell hurts her head, and she quickly passes out. The doctors chuckle, dragging Nancy to the gates that they created; preparing her for what was to come.

When Nancy finally wakes up, she finds the environment of the Upside Down everywhere. Ooze dripping down the walls, and even the monsters that the doctors and child had become. She looked down at her bound wrists and sighed heavily.

They said they would keep her here as long as they needed. When they opened the door she strained against them, but with no avail.

They lay her down in the table, and began the procedure. Her scream echoing throughout the hallways, the doctor shove a piece of cloth in her mouth silencing her. But Nancy had a plan, she just hoped it would work.
