The SEVENTEEN members were so fed up with Jihoon and Seungcheol being very dense.

I mean, how come they can't notice that they both like each other? It's very obvious! Like how Jihoon would subtly blush when Seungcheol places his arm around his shoulder, or when Seungcheol would grin like an idiot once Jihoon compliments him.

They were both too focused on the fact that the other only sees them as a friend, that's why they fail to notice that the truth that they really like each other.

"Say, Jihoon," Seungcheol spoke up suddenly, making the boy look at him, "Do you like someone?"

Jihoon was casually listening to some demos when Seungcheol asked that particular question which made him blush a little. They were both sitting inside Jihoon's safe haven (read: studio), working on their new songs that'll be a part of their upcoming album.

"Uh-uhm, yeah."

"Holy sh- really? Tell me who!"

"My horoscope says no."

"What? What are you saying? C'mon tell me who!"

"Why should I?"

"Because I'm your best friend? I deserve to know."

That hurts, Seungcheol thought. The word "best friend" tasted bitter as it rolled out of Seungcheol's tongue. When will he ever get out of the best friend zone?

Little did he know, Jihoon felt the same. He felt sad and disappointed that Seungcheol only sees him as a best friend, nothing more. Jihoon noticed something weird though. Did he just... see sadness flash on Seungcheol's face?

Nah. Maybe he's just imagining things.

"Still, I won't tell you. You might be planning something evil for Christ's sake."

"How would I tell you that you're the one I like without ruining our friendship?" is what Jihoon really wanted to say but of course, he just decided to push the thought aside.

"I thought you trusted me..." Seungcheol trailed off and acted like he was genuinely hurt. But deep inside, he really was hurt because of the fact that Jihoon likes somebody else.

"Why do you wanna know anyways?" Jihoon asked as he focused his eyes on his screen, clicking on random demos and listening to them on a low volume just so he could still hear Seungcheol.

"Because it's intriguing. This is the first time you told me that you like someone. To be fair, I like someone too!"

"I know."

"What do you mean you know?"

"I know you like someone. It's Jeonghan hyung, right? You're lucky, you know. He likes you back, I can tell." Jihoon faced Seungcheol and flashed him a smile that hid the hurt expression of him. "At least you don't know how it's like to love someone who sees you as a friend..."

The room went silent for a moment until the silence was shattered by Seungcheol's giggle. His giggles turns into laugh, while Jihoon was looking at him in a weird way.

"Why are you laughing?" Jihoon asked as Seungcheol sobered up, wiping the corner of his eyes.

"It's not Jeonghan that I like, silly. It's you." Seungcheol confessed casually as if it was the easiest thing to do in the world, but the truth is his whole body was shaking due to the nervousness he is feeling right now.

Jihoon had to stop for a while to process what Seungcheol just said, and after a few minutes, he didn't stop himself from grabbing the older's collar and smashing their lips. He kissed Seungcheol passionately, the older kissing back with the same level of sweetness and passion.

While they were lost inside their own little bubble, the rest of the Seventeen members were happily dancing and cheering outside the studio because finally, the two had to guts to confess to each other.
