Deception **ON HOLD**

chapter twelve

*This is a continuous of chapter eleven as it was too long so I split it into two.*

We walk onto this antique shop and start looking around. As we are looking somewhere else in the shop I hear ree say, "Yes I found one!" I knew straight away he found an old cuckoo clock for his weird obsession.

After Ree pays for his clock we leave continuing to walk around. I see a skating rink ahead and point it to the others. We all agree to go skating while Bryce looks a bit scared.

After paying for our skates beth starts taunting Bryce. "I bet you twenty dollars that you can't beat Lynn in a skating competition." She says. He looks scared at first before clearing his throat, taking her hand and shake it while saying, "you are on!"

We all lace our shoes up and Bryce and I head onto the ice. I taunt him as wobbles on the ice before he says he is ready.

After doing four biellmann spins, three tano jumps, and two backflips I skate over to Bryce who is trying his hardest to skate and tell him, "pay up to beth. You lost big time."

After he pays her I volunteer to help him learn while everyone else clamours onto the ice and starts skating.

*30 minutes later*

After taking half an hour Bryce finally gets it and is able to go skate with Beth while I skates with Mason. "where did you learn to skate like that?" Mason asks.

"My mom taught me when I was very little. I used to be in a lot of competitions and would win almost every single one." I tell him while tears form in my eyes at the thought of my mom.

*four hours later*

After skating for four hours we decide to go to a diner for dinner before heading back to the hotel for the night.

*one hour later*

when we get to the hotel and in our rooms we all change into warmer clothed then meet in the kitchen. I grab all of the ingredients we need to make chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies.

I set all of it down onto the table and go grab the Christmas cookie cutters from a drawer.

After setting everything on the table i stand beside Mason and tell everyone what to do.

Beth-to preheat the oven

Ree- to mix the chocolate chip batter

Kayden- to mix the sugar cookie batter

Luke and hales- to make balls of cookie dough and put them on the trays.

Bryce and Mason-to put the cookies in the oven and get them out when they are done.

I work on the icing for the sugar cookies.

I put the icing in the fridge waiting for the cookies to cool when i feel something crack and run down my head. I put an angry face oon and slowly turn around to see Beth smiling and everyone looking at us in horror.

I put an evil smirk on my face grabbing a handful of flour and throwing it at her laughing kinda evilly. She ducks half hitting her and the rest goes on Kayden which has everyone laughing until kayden tosses chocolate into Ree's face. After that we have a full blown food fight.

***10 minutes later***

Us girls are covered in food since the boys ganged up on us. We tell them to clean the kitchen while we shower first. After i shower i'm in fuzzy pjs in the bedroom brushing my hair when mason comes in with wet hair and i realize while it took me forever to get the food out of my long hair everyone else was done. Mason comes up behind me taking my hair brush out of my hand and starts brushing my hair.

After my hair is brushed we head into the living room with everyone else. Beth and bryce comes from the kitchen with cookies iced and cups of milk while Hales puts on ' home alone'.

We sit on the couches watching the movie while eating cookies with milk. After the movie it's near midnight when we all shuffle to our beds falling asleep once the blankets are around us and i immediately go into a new nightmare.

*** the nightmare***

I wake up in my apartment back at home filled with smoke and Mason's muffled voice coming from somewhere. As i reach blindly around my apartment i find the front door, feeling it to be cool i open in and Mason's arms are around me instantly. For some reason i feel mad at him and try to push him away until he tells me the whole downstairs is completely doused in fire. The others got out safely but he stayed behind for me. We head to the window, he breaks it and tells me, "sarah jump. It will be fine they will catch you and i'll be right behind you." when seeing behind us is doused in fire i say okay and jump. I land in an awkward position and blackout.
