Deception **ON HOLD**

chapter eight(EDITED)

  I wake up to my bedroom or at least what looks like my bedroom. I go to move but I find out that my wrists are tied to the bedpost. I stay like that moving around making my wrists bleed and sooner or later the door opens and Josh, my crazy ex boyfriend walks in.
 

I start screaming for help as tears run down my face. He laughs at my attempts to escape before he goes to remove his pants.
  "Please don't. I'm begging you please!" I yell. He doesn't listen and continues to remove his pants before pushing my nightgown up.
 

Tears still stream down my face as he feels me up and scream after scream comes out of my mouth. Finally the door is bursted open and there stands Josh's dad at the door.
  He knocks Josh to the side and Beth is behind him. Immediately she is by my side untying my hands and pulling my nightgown down. As I stand I collapse with my eyes closing. I actually wake up this time to everyone looking at me. "Are you okay?" Beth and Mason asks.
 

I sneer and push them away. "Of course I'm okay." I grab my clothes and storm into the bathroom. I out the usual on- my T-shirt, jeans, leather jacket and my combat boots.
  After dressing I head out of the bathroom with everyone looking at me I grab my phone and storm out of the room. Once I'm in the elevator I calm down some. Once the door opens I have a full blown smirk on my face.
 

After I grab an apple, some bacon and coffee I sit at a corner table ignoring others. After a while when I eat the remains of my apple the others join me obviously hesitant but otherwise fine.
  Everyone starts talking at once on what to do today. They decided to go hiking and ziplining at a place nearby. When Beth looks at me I fake smile the smile that I have perfected over time. I knew when she glared that she knows I'm not fine but I ignore it.

(In the car)

Mason tries to put his arm around me but I sneer, shove it away and move to sit in between Ree and Kayden. After thirty minutes of driving we arrive at the place.
  The instructors explain the rules and what we are doing but I ignore them since I've been ziplining before. Finally after what seemed forever we go to the first stop.

(Three hours later)

We finish ziplining and after dropping off the equipment we head to the van grabbing our water. We arrive at our hike trail.
  Beth pulls me over as we are walking, "what's wrong?" She asks.
  "I had a new nightmare almost like one before but instead of Mason saving me the torture goes on longer and my screams attract you and Josh's father." I tell her.
  "You need to tell Mason then. He wants to help as well." She says. I push her away and sneer. "Hell no." I say.
 

She looks sympathetic, "he cares for you and wants to help." She says.
  I look at her like she is crazy. "All he wants is sex and he will not take my virginity along with my dignity." I sneer my eyes in slits.
  She looks at me like I'll crazy but before she can open her mouth I stomp off to the van.
  I sit in the back rubbing my temples to try to prevent the headache from forming. I lay down on the seat falling asleep faster than I can think.

** 30 mins.**

I feel someone move my head onto their lap but I know they are alone considering the silence. I pretend to stay asleep to figure out who it is.
  The person starts talking, "Sarah I have no clue on how to help you. You don't even make it easy." I realize it is Mason talking.

He continues, "I want to protect you from everything. I want to be able to love you. But your stubborn ass won't let me." He stops and when he continues I hear the angry tone in his voice, "then there's Josh and the imprint he had on you. I'd kill him but it means I won't be able to protect you because I'll be sent to jail."

As he talks I feel him playing with my hair and I slowly fall back asleep.

**I hour later ** (sorry for so much time change)

I wake up to the rest of our group climbing back in the van wet. I sit up and look outside and realize it is raining. I ask Beth, "what are we going to do now?"
 

"We decided to go to the big mall that is a few miles away." She tells me.
  We head to this big mall and to avoid getting wet we pay to park in a parking garage. After we park I brush my hair out and then step out.
  We go in and the guys head off one way while us girls go another. As Beth and Hales shop for dresses, hair and makeup products I buy a new leather jacket and combat boots.
 

Above us and outside a big storm is brewing. Thunder cracks every minute making me jump (considering I'm terrified.) And Beth telling me I'm okay.
   After a while of looking around we head into American Eagle and start looking around. The boys finally join us with bags from GameStop and some other store I don't know.
 

I find a pair of jeans and decided to try them on and enter a dressing room. As I'm putting them on the power starts flickering. I decide to not try them on anymore in case the power goes out. I put my jeans on and start lacing my boots.
  On my second boot the power goes out completely. When it doesn't come back on that's when my breathing becomes shallower.
  I slid down to the floor clutching my throat. I try to suck a deep breathe down but can't as my anxiety attacks gets worse. That's when the flashback starts.

Flashback-

I giggle as Josh chases me through his house. "Come back babygirl. All I want are some cuddles." I hear him holler from upstairs. Once I hear him on the stairs I hide in the hallway closet. A few minutes pass before the door opens and Josh enters. "Now now baby girl. You mustn't hide from me."he chides. After saying that he shuts the door and locks it. I feel his hands grabs my arms bringing me closer to him and his hand goes up to my throat.

**Back to the mall.**

  The sound of the door opening brings me back to bring a gaping fish trying to breathe. I hear Mason beside me telling me to take it easy and try to take a deep breathe.
  I hear Beth in the background crying. Then I hear Hales, " she is having an anxiety attack. The last big one she had was when she told us what Josh was doing to her. The darkness must have sent her into a flashback and this anxiety attack."
  Blackness starts invades my vision. Slowly I close my eyes, despite Mason's pleas not to, and fall off the cliff in my head.
