I slowly open my eyes knowing if I do it fast my headache will get worse. As my eyesight becomes better I see Mason and everyone else hovering slightly over me.
I sit up really groggily. I put my hand up to my aching head and then look up to everyone smiling weakly.
I see Mason backing away very slowly no doubt pissed at me. Beth looks weary while the others look awkward while Ree and Hales have tears running down their faces.
I knew that this anxiety attack was a big one considering Reed and Hales condition. I croak, "what's wrong?" I ask before coughing and taking the water Beth hands me.
Beth also tosses me my inhaler. I take a fee deep breaths before trying to stand. My legs give out as soon as I stand and Kayden has to catch me.
After he sits me back on the bed we hear the door slam and that's when I realize mason has left. Tears spring to my eyes but I refuse to let them fall.
I stand up and run after him ignoring the stinging in my legs. I look everywhere before finding him on the roof overlooking the garden below.
Tears are still in my eyes but I won't let them fall before they needed to.
"I was in the van with you earlier. I wanted to make sure you were okay but I knew you would lie anyways." He starts out. "When I overheard, and trust me it was by accident, your new nightmare it had me so mad. I'm guessing Beth had you pissed too considering you stomped right by me not even acknowledging me." He takes a deep breath.
"I want to protect you. I want to love you Sarah. I need you in my life and you need me in yours." He says as he walks to the wall beside the door and punches it several times.
I rush over in between him and the wall before grabbing his hands. I see the tears in his eyes as mine finally start to fall.
I can tell he was looking at me very vulnerable. I've never cried in front of anyone even Josh. I knew Now he really likes me and I blew it off. More tears fall down and the same reaction came from him.
"Fuck it!" He growls and slams his lips on mine fiercely with force that was both gentle and passionate. Shocked at first it takes me a few seconds to comprehend what was going on before I kissed him back with the same force.
We pull away and he puts his forehead on mine before speaking, "I want to protect you. To fix you. To love you. I want you as my girlfriend. I know it will be tough but please will you be my girlfriend?"
I nod, "yes. Yes of course I will." After that we kiss two more times before deciding to head back to the rooms to grab our bags.
We load the van again to go to New York for the remainder of the winter break. With Ree and Kayden driving, I toss my newest tape of the music for my newest song I called 'here' and start singing it while the others join in at the perfect timing.

I guess right now you've got the last laugh
I'm sorry if I seem uninterested
Or I'm not listenin', or I'm indifferent
Truly I ain't got no business here
But since my friends are here, I just came to kick it
But really I would rather be at home all by myself
Not in this room
With people who don't even care about my well-being
I don't dance, don't ask, I don't need a boyfriend
So you can, go back, please enjoy your party
I'll be here
Somewhere in the corner
Under clouds of marijuana
With this boy who's hollering
I can hardly hear
Over this music I don't listen to
And I don't wanna get with you
So tell my friends that I'll be over here
Oh-oh-oh here, oh-oh-oh here
Oh I ask myself, what am I doin' here?
Oh-oh-oh here, oh-oh-oh here
And I can't wait 'til we can break up out of here
Excuse me if I seem a little unimpressed with this
An anti-social pessimist, but usually I don't mess with this
And I know you mean only the best
And your intentions aren't to bother me
But honestly I'd rather be
Somewhere with my people
We can kick it and just listen to
Some music with a message, like we usually do
And we'll discuss our big dreams
How we plan to take over the planet
So pardon my manners
I hope you'll understand that I'll be here
Not there in the kitchen
With the girl who's always gossiping about her friends
So tell them I'll be here
Right next to the boy who's throwin' up
Cause he can't take what's in his cup no more
Oh God why am I here?
Oh-oh-oh here, oh-oh-oh here
Oh I ask myself, what am I doin' here?
Oh-oh-oh here, oh-oh-oh here
And I can't wait 'til we can break up out of here
Hours later congregatin' next to the refrigerator
Some girl talkin' 'bout her haters, she ain't got none
How did it ever come to this? I shoulda never come to this
So holla at me, I'll be in the car when you're done
I'm stand-offish, don't want what you're offerin'
And I'm done talkin', awfully sad it had to be that way
So tell my people when they're ready that I'm ready
And I'm standin' by the TV with my beanie low
Yo I'll be over here
Oh-oh-oh here, oh-oh-oh here
Oh I ask myself, what am I doin' here?
Oh-oh-oh here, oh-oh-oh here
And I can't wait 'til we can break up out of here"
After a few hours once everyone besides ree and me are asleep I decided to check my phone considering the past two days we've been so busy.
As I bring it out I see I have three messages. They all are from the same unknown number from before.
10:46 pm- "how's my little princess after that big storm?"
11:12 pm-"love the new leather jacket and boots. Too bad for the anxiety attack."
11:49 pm- "you and the bad boy? Who knew. YOU WILL BE MINE BY GRADUATION."

Seeing those three messages makes throw my phone me and go into a panic attack. "No. No. It isn't true. No one isn't following you Sarah."I mutter to myself.
Ree starts yelling or at least I think yelling "Sarah? Sarah? Come back to us!"
It wakes everyone else up and he pulls over on the side of the road. I see beth pick my phone and it makes the panic attack worse. Ineatch her reaction as she reads the messages. She drops my phone her face showing horror.
Bryce picks my phone up next and sees the messages. I knew he was pissed once his body became rigid and he face showed it. Mason pulls me into his lap immediately calming me down some.
I slowly fall asleep but when I see his face and hear him shouting to Ree to go somewhere before my eyes closed I knew he saw them as well.

** 2 ½ hours later** masons POV.

Sarah is still sleeping in my arms when we pull into the nearest police station in Boston Massachusetts.
I wake Sarah up and she looks terrified mostly likely scared I'll do something bad to her. I play with her hair and whisper sweet little nothings to her.
As I'm doing this everyone else slowly wakes up as well. "We are all here for you Sarah." Beth tells her. I nod when she looks up to me.
We get out and Beth hands me her phone to take in with us.

*30 minutes later*

We come back out and I let her climb in before I follow. "Well they figured out it is Josh following us and they are tracking him down right now and will be putting him on trial.
We drive the hour and a half left to new York and Sarah is just distance and plays with her hair. I whisper into her ear, "everything is okay. I promise you that." she nods and lays her head on my shoulder.
We arrive at our hotel and drop ours bags off and park before walking to this nice little café to eat breakfast.
After eating breakfast we decide to go sightseeing through the city deciding to skip Central park and New York times square since those places are where we will spend Christmas eve and new year's eve.
As the day goes by I see Sarah becoming more of her usual self and it makes me happy. As we are walking back Bryce suggests we get alcohol and take it back to the hotel.
Almost immediately everyone agrees. "Okay."I say looking at Sarah and she whispers, "okay I'm down for it."
The rest of the evening an well into the night is spent getting drunk and passing out.
