Zoe's POV
"You're a Slytherin. You're not suppose to be friends with Gryffindors." Draco said for the tenth time. He's been lecturing me about what a Slytherin should do. We should stick with one another, despise muggle borns, judge them and all things related to discriminating wizards and witches that are muggle borns.
"You know. I'm also half Gryffindor. In addition, stop lecturing me about what to do and what not to do, you're not my mother to begin with. And, I will do whatever I wish because This. Is. My. Life." I said and crossed my arms, my head held high.
Draco lifted an eyebrow at me and shook his head.
"You have to understand this. My father likes you. But, he will not tolerate any Gryffindor act. So that is why I'm lecturing you."
"I'm not going to be someone I'm not just to please your father."
"You have to."
"And why is that?"
"You'll know in the future." I heard him mumble. And when I asked him to repeat it, he changed the bloody topic.
I suddenly had an idea.
"Draco, do you have any house elves at your place?"
If Hermione is right, then Draco would have Dobby as a house elf. Draco nodded like it was nothing.
"We have a couple of house elves at the Manor, since one house elf couldn't handle the whole place alone. Why?"
"I just read about them and said that they serve a rich and powerful family. I was wondering if your family had one and I was right."
Draco nodded in satisfaction and then he lay down, his head on my lap.
"We have one house elf who is a pain in the arse. He follows father everywhere. When father orders him to do something he'll receive a kick for his slow movement. But father kept him nonetheless, the poor thing knows too much. I reckon he knows every little secret about father."
