Zoe's POV
It was midnight, and just like any normal person, they sleep at this hour. Except, I'm not normal, and so I'm wide awake, staring at the night sky in the astronomy tower. I know I'm supposed to be in the Hospital Wing to rest, but I found it difficult after seeing those students who were petrified.
The Mandrake Potion was finished, and Madam Pomfrey made sure that every student that had been petrified got their potion, and by the morning, they're good as new. That's great news, but I still felt the creepy atmosphere as I stare at their petrified bodies, since those are the only things I see except the beds and curtains, and Madam Pomfrey.
Death isn't with me at the moment, he said that he needed to do something and then left. It was quite suspicious and mysterious, but that's Death at his finest.
I sighed as I felt the cold breeze hit my face. It was a beautiful night and this time I was relaxed because Harry had defeated Voldemort again.
My hands then made their way to my neck, where a bandage was wrapped around it. It was getting uncomfortable so my hands searched the end of the bandage so I could remove it.
As I slowly peeled it off, the cold breeze hit my neck like a punch, and I had to gasp at the sudden change of temperature.
"What are you doing here?"
I turned as fast as I could when I heard that voice, my hand clinging to my chest as I stared at Draco in surprise.
"You bloody scared me to death!" I exclaimed as he only chuckled, making his way towards me. Seeing him clearly, he wore his pajamas and the Slytherin cloak, and his hair was a mess but suits him.
"After you got your bones broken last year, and after you faced the Dark Lord I find it hard to believe that I scared you to death." He said as he stared at the sky.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I just asked you that-... what's that?" Draco suddenly said as he moved closer, his hands on my neck.
"Whoa hands off!"I said as I took a step back. His eyebrows were furrowed as he stared at my neck, and then at me.
"Why are there crescent moons on your neck?"
I automatically reached for my neck and at the sides, I flinched as I felt a sting when I touched the crescent moons Draco was talking about. I thought they would disappear... I guess not.
"I did tell you that Voldemort strangled me,"I said and he looked at me, his face laced with worry. "Hey, I'm fine. I already walked my way to the tallest tower on my own, I think that proves that I'm okay."
"You're so stubborn," Draco muttered as he removed his cloak and wrapped it around me, warmth engulfing my whole body as his scent invaded my sense of smell... I closed my eyes and inhaled the scent.
"I can't believe you actually defeated the Dark Lord," Draco said, staring at me in awe.
"Actually, Harry defeated Voldemo-"
"Can you not say his name? I hate it." Draco interrupted his voice a little tense.
I sighed and patted his shoulder, "You-know-who is gone Draco. Do not fear his name... anywho, Harry was the one who defeated Voldemort."
"Nonsense! Look at your neck! You have battle scars!!"
"Harry has a scar as well. And these 'scars' happened when I happen to be somewhere I'm not supposed to be in. If Harry weren't there... I'd be dead."
