Zoe's POV

My eyes were beginning to shut as I continue to answer Professor Lockhart's fan mail. I saw Harry was the same, his head was almost colliding with the table in front of us. I told you, this is the worst detention I could ever get.

"The both of you must be tired."

No, we're totally fine "It's a tiring job, but it's nice to help you with these Professor." It is not nice. I am starving and sleepy at the same time and I don't know if I could even walk after this. Maybe I should just sleep here or let Death carry me to the dormitory

"Did you hear that?" Harry suddenly said, looking around.

Professor Lockhart and I looked at each other then at Harry. "Hear what?"

"A whisper..."

The three of us were quiet and I tried listening to any sound, but I can't hear anything. Well this is getting creepy...

"That's enough now. Detention is over. You shall head to the Great Hall or to your dormitories. Good night."

As Professor Lockhart said this, I sighed in relief and stood up immediately. It was a surprise that I could still stand up straight and not fall from the chair I was sitting on. Harry and I quickly made our way out and I started to stretch.

"That was smart Harry, telling Professor Lockhart that you heard voices. It was a little creepy but at least we finally got out and I am able to stret-"

"There it is again." Harry said, as he made his way towards the wall, where he tried and listened carefully.

I stopped stretching and stared at Harry with confusion. What is he hearing?

I went beside Harry and stuck my ear on the wall, trying to listen on anything that could be sounded as a whisper, but I really can't hear any-

"It's moving." Harry said as he started to walk forward, his body still close to the wall.

I followed him as I tried my best to listen for anything, anything at all but I swear I hear none! Has Harry gone mad?

As I walked beside Harry, watching him listen carefully to the walls, we stopped when suddenly we saw Ron and Hermione.

"Harry we've been-"

"Ssh! Can't you hear it?" Harry exclaimed at the two, not letting Hermione finish her sentence. She then looked at me and gave me a look that says what is going on?

"We were in detention in Professor Lockhart's office until Harry suddenly asked us if we heard whispers. I thought he just used that as an excuse because we were really exhausted in answering professor Lockhart's fan mail... but it turns out... he's hearing stuff."

"Can't you hear it?" Harry asked again.

"We can't hear anything Harry... what is it saying?" Ron asked Harry, curiously.

"It says that it's hunting... it wants to eat." As Harry said this he started to move again and Hermione, Ron and I followed him. He was walking so fast yet silently, honestly what in the name of Merlin is he hearing?

As we followed Harry, he led us to a hallway with wet floors and Harry slowed down.

"It stopped." Harry said as he looked around.

The three of us did the same until my eyes stopped on something written on the wall. What the bloody hell?

We all saw it and rushed our way in front of the wall. There was writing, all written in a blood-red ink:

The chamber of secrets has been opened

Enemies of the heir...beware

"That's a lot of red ink." Ron said as he looked at the writing with fear.

"It's written in blood." Harry said as he pointed at something besides the writing.

I gasped in surprise as I saw a cat, dangling upside down while its tail was used to hang it on the torch holder. The cat was stiff as a board, eyes wide and staring at the ground, while blood was flowing down its mouth.

"I-isn't that... Mrs. Norris?" Hermione asked as she took a step back. We all took a step back.

As I stared at the cat, I then noticed that it was Mrs. Norris... Oh no, if Mr. Filtch finds us here and sees his cat, I think it would be the end of us.

"Let's get out of here." Ron said, pulling our robes

"Shouldn't we try and help—"

"Trust me," Ron said "we don't want to be found here."

But we were too late to get out of that place. From either end of the corridor where we stood came the sound of hundreds of feet walking, ignoring the wet floor as they seem to have a happy chatter.

The noise, however, didn't lasted long as they saw the writing on the wall in front of us. I closed my eyes, I wish I could just shrink or apparate in my bedroom.

"Enemies of the heir beware?" I heard Draco's voice say and I turned around just in time to see him look at Hermione. "You'll be next Mudblood!" I looked at Draco weirdly. His cold eyes were alive, he was grinning from ear to ear as he saw the hanging cat.

Did he do this?

"What's going on here?" we heard a raspy voice say.

We all saw Mr. Filtch. Great, just the person I was afraid of seeing. He then looked at us weirdly and then he stopped breathing when he saw his cat, and he stared in horror.

This isn't going to end well.

"You!" He said as he charged Harry. "You! You've murdered my cat! You've killed her! I'll kill you! I'll-"

But before he could finish his sentence, we heard a powerful voice echoing through the hallway, calling Mr. filtch's name.

Professor Dumbledore stood beside the other students , he was accompanied by other Professors as well and that's where I sighed deeply... I need to get out of here before Professor Snape gets to talk to me and ask me about Isabella.

"Go to your dormitories! All of you." Professor Dumbledore said, motioning us to leave.

I sighed deeply, but this time in relief. Thank you Headmaster for saving me-

"All except for you four." And just like that, the four of us stopped our tracks and slowly faced Professor Dumbledore.

Talk about saving me -_-
