Vanessa's POV

I GROANED at Axel when he left the room. He told me a while ago to stay here in his room for the mean time but his plan was to stay here for the whole night!

I didn't want to sleep beside him, maybe because I was disappointed earlier about the sudden call. Umakto nalamang ako na walang pakealam but deep inside, I'm disappointed and hurt.

Questions have been spinning inside my head. Bakit hindi siya bumalik? Who was he talking to? Bakit hindi niya magawang sabihin sa akin kung sino yo'n? At higit sa lahat, anong pinag usapan nila? I'm curious as hell!

I want to ask him those questions but I want him to tell it to me, intentionally. And now, we're acting as if nothing happened.

Huminga ako ng malalim at sinandal ang ulo ko sa headboard niya. After I change my clothes into pajamas, he left the room that made me upset

Why would he even tell me to stay in his room and sleep with him if he couldn't stay beside me after all? I groaned again.

I glared at the lampshade beside me, I felt an urge to throw it away that's why I sat on the bed near the lampshade.

I was so near to throw it but the door opened and there I saw Axel, holding a bowl full of nachos.

Tinaasan ko siya ng isang kilay but he just smiled at me and sit beside me. I scoot over and get the remote from the table beside me.

I turn on the television to watch a movie to distract myself. "Vanessa," he called me

"What?" My eyes are complete stuck in the movie.

"Have some of this." He offered the nachos, I raised my left hand

"Nah. No thanks." Is he really trying to make me fat? Wala pang isang linggo pero unti unti na akong tumataba.

I saw him grin in my peripheral vision. I looked away and scoff. How can he manage to grin while I'm not in the mood? Tch.

"Tikman mo lang," pagpupumilit niya

I shooked my head "I don't want to. Pinapataba mo lang ako." Deretso kong sabi sa kan'ya

"Anong pinapataba?" He seems shock. What now? Acting innocent? Tss!

"Wala ngang nagbabago sa'yo, nangangayayat ka padin." He shrugged his shoulders

"Tumataba na ako." I used my bitter tone

"Akala mo lang ya'n, hindi ka naman mataba." Tss, so what? "Iniisip mo lang na mataba ka dahil halos lahat ng pinapakain ko sa'yo ay bago sa panlasa mo."

Napantig ang tenga ko, "Excuse me?! I have a lot of cook in my mansion, some of them are from Europe, Africa, Japan, Italy, France and New Zealand that's why I know all of those dishes of yours! Masyado mo lang akong pinapakain ng madami!"

Inirapan ko siya, "Yes, that's true but let me remind you, hindi ka naman nagrereklamo kapag kumakain na tayo." I gazed at him and he's smirking at me!

"Nagrereklamo ka lang kapag tapos ka na kumain. You complain a lot but after all you enjoyed the food." He proudly stated in front if with a big smile.

I blinked thrice, "S-so?" I scoffed "Wait a minute, bakit ba mas marunong ka pa sa'kin? Eh katawan ko 'to!" I backfired

That's what you get! "Hmm, okay." I saw his devilish smile after he said that. He's teasing the hell of me!

He's really annoying! I just crossed my arms and watch the movie. I don't want to sleep with a lot of wrinkles in my face.

That's right, Vanessa! Don't stress yourself! Axel's just testing your temper! Just ignore him and win all the arguements with him

I deeply sigh and scoot over even more but my forehead knotted when he scoot as well. Umurong ulit ako at gano'n ulit ang ginawa niya

"Try to scoot over, mahuhulog ka na." He warns me while staring completely at the television.

I scoot over to irritate him but suddenly I felt his arm on the side of my waist. "W-what--"

Tumingin siya sa'kin "Don't scoot over, tatabi padin ako sa'yo whether you like it or not." He said in his solemn tone

I bit my lower lip, "I can do whatever I want, so don't ask me what to do." Laban ko

"Oh yeah?" Sarcasm filled his voice "Try to disobey me, papagudin kita buong gabi." My eyes widened and hit his chest "Aw!"

"Dumbass! Are you threatening the Mafia Queen, huh?!" I gritted my teeth at him

"Damn, ang sakit no'n ah." He murmurs

"Of course, masakit. Hahatawin ba kita ng mahina?" Now it's my turn to be sarcastic

Ngumiwi siya "Sige na, ikaw na panalo." Saad niya na ikinatawa ko ng bahagya.

Susuko din naman pala, "Tss." My eyes drifted to the televesion.

While watching the movie, I felt an urge to ask him about the call because both of us aren't uttering any single word and it's a bit awkward for me.

"Axel.."

"Hmm?" His attention is still on the movie

"I want to ask you something," deretsa kong sabi

"What is it?" He glanced at ne

Our eyes met and I'm still hesitating if I'm going to ask him. I was about to open my mouth to ask him but unexpectedly his phone rang.

Kumunot ang noo. I'm starting to hate phone calls.

"Wait a minute," he stood up and get his phone on the couch.

Pinagmasdan ko ang reaksyon niya and it was nothing, parang normal lamang ito. He answered the call and immediately went out.

I clenched my fist and punch the bed, I even threw some of the pillow due to so much irritation.

I'm not irritated because it was ny opportunity to ask him but suddenly someone bothered us. I'm irritated because he keeps going away!

Can't he talk here?! I don't have any intentions to eavesdrop.

Well, it depends if it's a woman.

But still! Is it so confidential to the point that he should go away and answer the call outside?

I clenched my jaw and lay down. I don't want to talk to him anymore, the more I talk to him--the more I get irritated.

I FELT HIS hand on my waist while I'm pretending to be asleep. I guess it's already two in the morning yet I couldn't sleep. I'm pretending to be asleep just because I don't to talk to Axel.

Of course, I'm still pissed off so why would I talk to him? I cleared my throat and tried to remove his arm on my waist while he's in a deep sleep.

I held his hand that is currently resting on my waist but I was stunned when he hugged me from the back tightly. Sinubukan ko ulit but this time diniin niya ang katawan niya sa'kin.

I gulped because of that "Is there something wrong, baby?" His whispered huskily on my ear

I deeply close my eyes, acting as if I'm in a deep sleep. "Hmm? Do you have something to tell me?"

Yes, of course!

He kissed the side of my head that gave me shivers on my spine "I love you but please trust me on this, baby."

Naramdaman ko ang paghinga niya sa batok na nag bigay ng kakaibang pakiramdam sa katawan ko. "Mahal na mahal kita.." he whispers

I slowly open my eyes, what is talking about? Is there--something I need to know?
