Vanessa's POV

I'M still confuse and disappointed at the same time. I suddenly became weak after Dave and I talked inside his room and now I'm staying here outside the hospital.

Naguguluhan ako. Why did he have to lie to me? About his name, his background and everything about him! I clenched my fist.

I want to explode due to anger but I can't. Imbes na magalit ako ay tila nanlalambot ako because I can't accept the fact that the man I love lied to me.

"Vannie?"

I immediately wipe some tears on my cheeks. I looked down, staring at my shoes.

"Vannie, nagagalit ka ba sa'kin?" He sounds like a kid

I faked a smile and face him "Of course not, why would I?"

"Hindi mo kasi ako pinapansin kanina pa." I'm sorry then, I was just spacing out.

"I was just thinking of something." I reasoned out

Eric cleared his throat, "Uhm, hindi ba natin hahanapin si Axel?"

Napatingin ako sa kaniya, "Umalis na siya, bakit ba natin siya hahanapin?" I acted as if I'm not affected but his disappearance.

"Pero Vannie, malay mo may pinuntahan lang?" Sana nga

Sana nga may pinuntahan lang.

"Sabi sa'kin ni Jaime, bago raw sumabog ang bahay ni Michelle ay may nag bato ng granada sa pwesto nila ni Axel."

"Pero, hindi raw iyon granada. Usok daw ang lumabas doon kaya nawalan sila ng malay."

"Ang ibang parte lamang ng bahay ang sumabog, sabi ni Jamie."

What? If they lost consciousness, then Axel should have been staying beside Jamie all the time!

"Bago raw tuluyang mahilo si Jamie, nakita niya na may isang lalaki na lumabas sa silid kung nasaan sila." Then, it's Axel.

"Saglit lamang ang pagkahilo ni Jamie kaya bumangon na kaagad siya nang bumalik siya sa huwisyo pero wala na si Axel sa tabi niya." He cleared his throat "--doon ka na niya hinanap at natagpuan ka na ni Jamie na wala ng malay sa tabi ni Michelle na duguan ang leeg."

Then he pouted his lips and say, "Hindi kaya si Axel ang may pakana no'n?"

I smiled bitterly, "His name isn't Axel." He was stunned for a moment "He is Arthur Winston."

Nalaglag ang panga niya "And he is the former leader of Black Blood Gang." Mapait kong dagdag

"H-huh?" Naguguluhan niyang tanong "Paano? B-bakit? Nagsinungaling s-siya sa'yo?"

Even Eric can't believe what I've said. I chuckled. Yes, Eric. Unfortunately, the guy I cherish the most lied to me.

Fucking painful, isn't it?

Damn.

"Alam mo V-Vannie," napatingin muli ako sa kaniya "Ayoko sanang sabihin ito pero,"

"What?"

"Sa t-tingin ko si Axel ang bumaril sa'kin noong nakaraang araw."

My brows immediately furrowed "What are you implying here?"

I can accept the fact that he lied to be but trying to kill Eric isn't acceptable! Axel won't do that. Axel won't dare to kill someone who's important to me!

"Vannie . . ."

"Are you trying to say that he has the guts to kill you?" I shook my head and crossed my arms "Axel won't do that."

"Vannie! Maniwala, sigurado akong si Axel ang bumaril sa'kin!" He held my wrist "Maniwala ka sa akin, Vannie! Mukha ba akong nag bibiro?"

Iwinaski ko ang kamay niya "Axel won't hurt you. He's . . . harmless," I unsurely said

Hindi nga ba?

"Pero niloko ka niya!"

Napaiwas ako ng tingin. "Yes. He lied to me but I know that he's not someone who you think he is, Eric."

Hindi siya makapaniwala sa sinabi ko base sa reaksyon niya "Kaya mag ingat ka sa pananalita mo." Matigas kong tugon

His face looks disappointed, "Bakit m-mo ba pinagtatanggol ang taong niloko ka, Vanessa? Niloko ka niya! Maaring si--"

"He did lie to me but I know he has a reason behind it! I can feel it, Eric! Sa tingin ko may dahilan siya!" Damn, I'm stressing my fucking self out again.

"Bakit ba nagkakaganiyan ka, Vanessa?!" He scoffs that made me look away. "Bakit, Vanessa? Ganoon ba siya kahalaga sa'yo para ipagtanggol mo siya sa akin na kaibigan mo?! Huh?!" His voice cracked while trying to prevent his tears from falling

My heart aches when I saw tears on the side of his eyes "Ano, Vanessa?! Bakit?! Bakit mo siya nagagawang ipagtanggol kahit palagi ka niyang iniiwan, niloloko at pinapaasa sa wala!"

"Because I love him . . ." mahinang saad ko

In my peripheral vision, I saw him startled--not expecting what I've said. I bit my lower lip.

"I love him, Eric." I sigh "Even if he lied to me, I still love him. Kahit ilang beses niya akong iwan, mahal ko padin siya . . ."

"P-paano naman ako, Vanessa?"

I gaze at his eyes, "K-kaibigan mo'ko."

I shook my head, "I want you to believe in me, Eric." I gripped on his shoulders "Axel won't do that."

He shook his head, "Nagawa ka nga niyang lokohin, ang s-saktan pa kaya ako?"

I'm sorry Eric but even if Axel lied to me, I know he won't do what you're accusing him.

"H-He's not like what you think." Kalmadong ani ko

"Sana nga, Vanessa." He faked a smile "Sana nga." He walk away after he stated that

"WHY IS there a bloodstain on your shirt?"

"Aren't you going to answer me?"

"Axel!"

"D-did you kill someone?"

[Q-Queen, si Eric . . .]

[He's b-bleeding, Queen!]

"--hindi lang si Michele ang kalaban natin."

My eyes widened as I sat on the bed while caressing the side of my head. I can hear my own voice even Eric's and Jamie's in my dream. I gripped on my hair because my head's starting to ache.

What was that dream about? Anong koneksyon ng mga sinasabi namin sa nangyayari ngayon? Fuck, I'm about to lose my fucking mind.

I remember that I asked Axel about the bloodstain on his shirt, but he didn't answer my question because my phone rang and Jamie informed me that Eric's losing too much blood.

Damn it, is this a sign?

I shook my head. No, Axel won't do that! He won't hurt Eric. He will never do that! Suddenly, I heard a knock on my door.

"Queen?" It's butler James

"What?" I said in my bedroom voice. I stood up and search for my phone. It's already nine in the morning when I check my phone

"May bisita po kayo."

Natigilan ako sa pag aayos ng kama, "Who is it?"

I was expecting to see Axel but when the door opened I saw a man with a mustache on his face.

"How have you been, my niece?" He smiled widely at me

'Uncle . . .'
