Chapter 2

It's been a few weeks since Brian moved to Orlando. My mom and I are going to California tomorrow and I'm so excited, as always before filming a movie. Brian called us one day and said that their band was called 'Backstreet Boys'.

"Wow, very original, Brian." I said with a bit of sarcasm to him on the phone.

"Oh shut up, Karla. You'll meet everybody from the squad when you come. I think you'll like them."

"You forgot that da squad is never complete without Karla." I believe that he rolled his eyes while listening to this.

"Okay Karla, I gotta go. See ya."

"Not if I see you first."

"Stop with that stupid movie references and quotes."

"Nope." I laughed. "Bye Brian!" I hung up and went back to my room. I have a lot of posters hanging around the room and I'm pretty sure that if I take them off the walls they are gonna get ripped and destroyed. That's why I will keep them in this house and get new ones for my new room, but it won't be the same though. We will keep this house in case we decide to go here on a vacation some day to see our family.

"Karla did you pack your stuff?" My mom entered and looked at me and the cardboard boxes full of clothes and other things that were laying on the floor.

"Yeah mom."

"We found you a nice school that Brian recommended us."

"Okay." I sighed and got up my bed. I am not a fan of going to unfamiliar places. It stresses me, but it's always kind of fun. Now I'm going to California for a couple of weeks or even months and then I'm moving to Orlando. Two new places, well not at all, I've been in California for other movie shootings, but it's always a bit stressful to me.

"Hurry up or we're gonna be late for the flight, Karla!" My mom shouted from the living room.

"Coming mom!" I shouted and took my backpack. My parents were waiting next to the door when I got down. Our house looked different. Some of the furniture was gone and the walls, that were always full of photos and my old paintings, were empty and plain.

"Lets go." My dad said as I put on my red converse.

We got into our car and headed to the airport. Dad left us there and drove to Orlando with the cardboard boxes full of stuff, because someone had to take the car.

"Bye dad!" I waved to him as he drove away. 'Lexington was a nice city to live in.' I thought as I looked at the sky.

"Lets go." My mom pulled my hand and we entered the airport.

After a boring long flight we finally landed in Los Angeles. We got our suitcases and waited outside for Charlie to come and pick us up.

"Well hello young lady." He greeted as he opened the car's door for me.

"Hi Charlie. Nice to see you." I smiled.

"Any problems? Someone tried to kidnap you without me being around?" I smiled. He always has a great sense of humor.

"Not at all." I laughed as I sat on the back seat.

"The Beverly Hills Hotel right?" He asked my mom and she nodded. Yeah, a pretty expensive hotel. A lot of celebrities stay there while being in Los Angeles. Charlie parked the car in the hotel's parking lot and got our baggage out of the car and helped us with taking it to the lobby. My manager already reserved me and my mom a room, so all we had to do was to get our keys and make ourselves home.

Our room was pretty fancy. It had two comfortable beds, a TV and a desk. There was a pool and a spa in the hotel so that was pretty cool. All of the cast will be staying in this hotel as well.

"The director said that he wants us to be in the lobby before dinner." My mom told me. "We will meet the rest of the cast members there."

Of course I knew who I will be filming a movie with since I filmed the first movie with them and a part of this one and I'm talking about The Addams Family. We are gonna finish filming the sequel to the first movie and it will be called Addams Family Values. A few months ago we started filming it. We had a small break and now we're going to finish filming all the scenes that are left.

Before dinner we got downstairs to the lobby and the director was waiting there with the cast members - Anjelica Huston, Paúl Juliá, Mercedes McNab, Jimmy Workman and the others.

"Oh good evening!" The director greeted us. "Welcome!"

We started talking about the movie, where and what time should we go on set. The usual stuff that the director tells the cast.

After everything was arranged we went into the restaurant and ate dinner together. These weeks are gonna be so busy...

Sorry that Nick doesn't appear a lot in the first chapters. I have the habit of not really rushing the things between the main characters haha. But I promise you that he will appear in the next chapters. Also the references and quotes that I mostly use are from a movie called Stand By Me haha.
