It was lunchtime. I met some new people and I have just finished my Maths class. I walked out of the classroom relieved. I really hate maths.
"Hey!" Someone screamed and tapped me on my shoulder. I turned around to see BJ.
"Oh hey." I smiled.
"So how were your first classes?" She asked me when we started walking towards the lunchroom.
"Nice. Well, except for the Maths class. I really hate Maths." I sighed just thinking about that terrible subject.
"Same here." She replied. "And the teacher is pretty..." She started thinking about a word to describe the woman.
"Odd." I finished instead of her.
"Exactly!" She laughed as we entered the lunchroom.
"Smells nice." I said while we were entering the big room.
"Hm, don't get fooled by the smell. The food is usually not very good." She frowned looking at the dishes that the other kids were carrying.
We got our food and sat on a empty table. We started eating when some girls joined us whispering something to each other's ears.
"Can you girls shut up?" Asked them Bobbie. They stopped whispering and sat on the table.
"These are my friends." BJ rolled her eyes and laughed.
"I'm Jenna." One of them with long blonde hair and green eyes said excitedly. "You are Karla Littrell, right? Nice to meet you." She was tall and slim.
"Yeah. Nice to meet you too." I smiled.
"I'm Andy." Another girl introduced herself in a more normal voice. She had auburn hair, brown eyes and was rather slim, but not as slim as Jenna.
"I'm Vicky." Said the last girl. She had pitch black middle-length hair and very dark eyes. She was rather chubby and shorter than the others.
"Nice to meet you all." I said as they started eating their food.
I spent all the lunchtime answering to their questions. I quite enjoyed it, to be honest. Nick passed our table and gave me a 'really' look and I just rolled my eyes and grinned at him.
---
"I see you met my sister's annoying friends." Nick teased me as we waited for BJ to come out of the school building and for Brian to pick us up.
"Shut up! At least I have made some friends." I laughed.
"You should have came to my table. You would have made some normal friends." I rolled m eyes at his comment.
"I'll sit with you tomorrow, okay?" I giggled.
"Okay." He replied with a smile on his face.
"Oh, here comes Brian." I said when I saw my dad's car.
"One question - Is this his car?" Nick asked me pointing to the black vehicle.
"No, it's my father's." I replied. "Why?"
"What a liar!" Nick said. "He told me it was his car!"
"Poor Brian, he can't afford a Mercedes himself." I hook my head and headed towards my dad's car.
"Where's BJ?" Asked us Brian as we entered the car.
"She must be here any minute." Replied Nick who was sitting in the passenger seat next to Brian again.
"You sound annoyed, Brian. What's the matter?" I asked him. He was acting odd and weird.
"I'm not annoyed." He replied in a very not convincing voice.
"Just spill it." I told him and took my seat belt off. He sighed and started talking.
"Our deal with Mercury Records fell through! They rejected us in the last minute!"
"What?!" Me and Nick screamed at the same time.
"Everything was arranged..." Nick started talking, but Brian cut him off.
"Yeah, but they said they didn't want to get into boy band business." My brother rolled his eyes and sighed. Nick did the same and looked out of the window.
"I'm so sorry, guys..." I said.
"It's not your fault, Karla." Brian told me looking at his feet.
"I'm sure someone else will notice you." I tried to cheer them up. "Screw the guys from Mercury Records! They're not worth your time and worrying!" I stated.
"Karla, just shut up." Brian begged me and I just sighed and looked out of the window to see if Bobbie was coming. There she was running toward the car with her bag on her shoulders.
"I'm so sorry." She said breathing deeply. "I'm so sorry." She repeated and looked at Brian and Nick. "Is everything okay? You guys don't look very positive." She said looking at them and then at me.
"I'll tell you later." I mumbled to her as I didn't want my brother and friend to get more upset.
We drove in silence to Kevin's house. I guess everyone was there. Brian stoped the car in the driveway and we all got out of it. Kevin opened the door and he didn't look so happy himself either. I gave him a sad look and entered his house.
I was right. Everyone was there - Kevin, AJ and Howie. They were all looking pissed and upset.
"What's going on?" BJ whispered to me. I dragged her to an empty room and told her everything I know.
"Oh." That's all she said. We went back into the living room where everyone was talking about the record deal, I'm guessing. Me and BJ sat on the floor and listened to their conversation. I felt so bad for the boys. I hoped the best for them.
"Don't worry, boys." Said BJ. "Everything is going to turn out okay."
