Today's the day. The audition day. I woke up very early and got ready very quickly.

"Calm down, Karla. Don't be so nervous." My mom said in a sleepy voice when I woke her up.

I couldn't help being nervous. What if I don't get the role?

I was walking back and forth around the room looking at the TV. There were some songs playing that calmed me down a bit but not fully.

"Can we go down for breakfast, mom?" I asked her and she mumbled something. "What?" I asked as I couldn't hear what she was telling me.

"You can just go by yourself." She said and I nodded. I was starving and I needed chocolate to calm myself down a bit.

I left the room and headed towards the restaurant. I entered to see Mac sitting alone on one of the tables. I quickly grabbed a plate and put pancakes and spreader liquid chocolate on top of it. I filled up a glass with orange juice and approached Mac's table.

"Morning." He greeted me.

"Hi." I replied as I sat across him. "Why are you here this early?"

"I could ask you the same question." He replied and I rolled my eyes.

"My mom is still sleeping and told me to come here by myself." I explained.

"My mom said something similar." We both laughed.

I could tell that my friend was nervous like me. He didn't say it but I could feel that he was in the same situation that I was in. Mac had a plate full of bacon and scrambled eggs that he was eating very fast. I was just sitting there looking at my plate and slowly taking small bites of my delicious dish.

"Karla! Brian wants to talk to you!" My mom yelled through the balcony. Me and Mac were hanging around outside before the audition to get some fresh air.

"Coming!" I yelled back. "I have to go." I said to Macaulay. "See ya later." I said before I ran into the hotel. I reached the floor where our room was and knocked on the door. It took 30 seconds for my mom to open it.

"Here." She passed me the heavy phone.

"Hello." I spoke up.

"Hey Karla!" I heard many voices yell through the phone and I guessed right away that those were Brian and all of his new friends.

"How are you?" Asked Brian.

"Fine, but maybe I'll go deaf after this conversation." I said and frowned.

"Were calling to wish you good luck." Said Kevin.

"Thanks." I giggled.

"I'm sure you'll get the part!" Yelled Nick.

"Just believe in yourself!" Yelled AJ. I started laughing at them all. They were being so stupid.

"Thank you to all." I giggled. "I think I have to get ready for the audition."

"Good luck!" They yelled in unison. "Bye!" They screamed and I covered my right ear with my left hand.

"Bye!" I yelled back and hung up.

"Are you ready, Karla." My mom asked me. I took a deep breath and nodded. "Remember, even if you don't get the part it's not gonna be the end of the world." She tried to cheer me up.

"Yeah, but I'm gonna blame myself for the rest of my life." I sighed looking at my feet.

"Nobody's perfect, Karla. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes fails in life, but there are always second chances." She smiled at me.

I stayed silent knowing that my mother is right. I got up and approached the door. I'm gonna show them what the Karla Littrell is capable of doing.
