Finally Known Love

Chapter 1

Jade's POV

As I walk through the door, I throw my keys on the counter. As I walk to the living room, I yell "Honey I'm home!" up the stairs. I hear a burst of laughter come from the upstairs, and I soon join in. As Jason comes running down the stairs he is quick to ask about what I got at the store. "Eggs, bacon, pancakes, ham, chips..." I list off, knowing what he wants to hear, which I why I save it for last. "The coffee?" he asks, looking up at me with puppy dog eyes. "Nope," I say. As I pop the "p" I turn and skip to the kitchen. I smile to myself, knowing he was about to be behind me. "You didn't get the coffee?" I hear a whimper behind me. I shake my head, heading over to the groceries. As I put them away, I see him looking in the bag with the coffee. When he finds it, he looks at me with a devious smile. I act surprised before I turn on my heel and run. I hear footsteps behind me, as I pound up the stairs. I run in our room, and scream when I see him in the door. He grabs me, setting me on the bed as he begins my torture- tickling. I screech in laughter, making these sounds that sound un-human. He then kisses me, as we lay next to each other on the bed, catching our breath. I think about my life, and how perfect it has become.

Right now, I'm recording my first album, called 'Saved'. I was 18, had a perfect job that I absolutely loved, a wonderful boyfriend that was my heart and soul, amazing parents that support me, and a cute little apartment that Jason and I shared.

It was a quaint little apartment, with a slight rustic and old feeling. It had a fireplace, a brick fireplace to be exact, and a two bed, two bath. Jason and I shared a room, because I mean, come on, we've been together for almost 4 years. Our anniversary was next week. I wasn't sure what I was going to get him yet, maybe a new iPod or tablet or something. I don't know, I haven't decided yet.

*ring ring*

I sprint to my phone, I always get in trouble with management whenever I don't answer it, because it could "ruin my future as a singer." Blah blah blah. I dive over the couch, doing those super cool ninja moves that are in the movies. I grab it, not checking caller ID.

"Hello?" I say into the phone, waiting for some boring secretary to reply in her monotone voice, but was surprised when heard something else. "Hello, London Hospital calling. Is this Jade Sheeran?" was spoken into the phone, making me quite confused, was Mum or Dad hurt? "This is she." I say, hoping they don't tell me bad news. "I am so sorry to inform you that you father has died from lung cancer, miss." The lady says. I gasp in shock, how did I not know he had cancer? Although, I didn't care the least. I mean, my past was awful because of him. "I am sorry miss, your mother told me to call you. You may come visit him before he is buried today if you want. She also told me to inform you that the funeral is in two days, at the London Cemetery, at 2 o'clock." "Thank you ma'am." I say before hanging up. I then sit there, on the couch, just wrapping my mind around this information. No more father. I was shocked really, I guess I sort of expected an apology, or maybe a warning maybe. It was just so sudden, it is kind of just like a part of me is gone. A part I have wanted to get rid of for years. And finally, it was gone. No more threat, no more hatefulness or hurting. It was... it was relieving. I could finally relax, no longer needing to be on my guard all the time, maybe even let the walls I put up so high, down. For good. I get up, I had made a decision. I was going to say goodbye.

"Jason I'm going out!" I yell. I then grab my keys of the counter, walking out of the house to visit my dead father, the only thought running through my head was "finally".
