She pushed the door open as a smile creeped to her face. She inhaled the smell of old dusty books. Reading was Rebecca's favourite thing to do. When there was nobody there for her, books found a way to sheer her up, to make her smile, and she even liked it when they made her cry. It provided her the things she never had the chance to experience in real life.. She made her way through the shelves and picked a book that caught her attention, and started reading the first page.

The book store wasn't as crowded as usual. But there were a few people in it. Because despite what most people think, teenagers do read real books.

She smiled at herselfe, happy that she found a book that she liked. She needed a good book. Her old collection was boring her, she read it too many times, she even memorized it.

"- Yo geek !" Called a husky voice. It sounded so commanding yet desprate. Rebecca looked up from her book, her heart skipping a beat, or was it two beats ?

She wouldn't care less, even if her heart stopped. Her hands dropped the book that she was reading, as they were too numb to hold it any longer. If anyone called her geek she'd snap at them, and tell them to get lost, but coming out of Noel Clark's soft pink lips, she didn't mind, because it was like honey dripping from his mouth.

She instantly cursed herself for thinking about him like that, after all pain he had caused her.

"- I thought we agreed you wouldn't call me a geek anymore, Jock?" She crooked a smile, recalling their moments and conversations.

"-Only if you stop calling me Jock." He teased, chuckling. She honeslty was glad he still remembred that. By now, her heart was already doing its usual weird dance, fliping over in all directions, giving her all sorts of feels.

Funny what one boy could do to you.

"- Help me find a book." His sentence sounded more of a command than a request. Rebecca raised her eyebrow as a smirk found its way to her face."- You don't have too.. If you_ don't want too."

If she didn't know him too well, she would think he was nervous. But she knew better. She was aware that it was just one of his ways to get what he wanted.

"- A book ? You" She eyed him up and down, very carefully. " want to buy a book ?"

"- Hey ! I read !." He paused. "- I read all the time." I sounded like a lie even to Noel's ears. "-Sometimes_ Okay I don't"

"-I thoughts so."

"-You know me too well." He awkwardly chuckled, as the air around them became too thick.

"-It's supposed to be a gift for this girl- She's a friend."

"- Oh-" was all she could let out. No words would escape her moutyh, while her heart was being shattered to pieces. He gave her an apologic look.

"- I will just ask someone else-"

She cut him off quickly. "-Oh no, here" she handed him a random book from the shelf, and smiled awkwardly. She didn't want him knowing that she was pained. He obviously moved on, and she didn't need his pity.

"-Thanks." She returned it with a fake smile. "-I'm really glad we're friends Rebecca." was the last thing he said, before walking away, and leaving a broken hearted poor girl behind.

"- I'm going. You're going. We are going."

"- But_"

"-No buts this time sweet cheeks !" Davina drove away before Rebekah could even protest. Rebekah hated it when Davina made her go to parties.

Espacially ones, they weren't invited to.

Davina was all about parties. She never missed a chance to play dress up. She lived to dance, and drink all night. She beileved that one should dance like there's no tomorrow. And of course Rebekah was just the opposite. She liked to feel ugly yet comfy, so she stayed in her sweat pants, and oversized t-shirts, and read her favourite books all night. She hated parties, and anything related.

But being forced to go to one is just the perks of having Davina Fields as your best friend.

Rebekah felt her phone buzz in her back pocket. She grabbed it, and read the text.

Dav' : Pick you up at six ! x

She groaned, holding her head high, but not for long. Something hard embraced her face hitting her as hard and fast as the lighetning. Rebekah howled in torment, and fell to the floor, holding her bleeding nose in her hands. She looked around looking for her bag, trying to reach or a bag of kleenex, but her eyes fell on a football instead.

Her normally calm and pleasant demeanor slowly changed and her face contorted in anger. Stomping her feet on the ground, she let out a loud groan before she threw her foot back, ready to take all her anger out on the ball by one angry throw. But the moment her foot flew in the air, she missed the football only to land on her behind, and hit the ground hard. Her cheeks flushed red as someone snickered and tittered in spite of him.

Holding a tissue against her nose, she held her head down, only making more blood fall out. She then felt a presence next to her, but whoever hit her that hard wasn't worth looking at. The pain was too unbarable for her to look up anyway, so she just ignored the boy.

-" Feeling comfortable down there, love?" An amused voice broke the silence. Under different circumstances, Rebekah would've admitted that his accent was lighter and more melodious than the waves of the ocean. Now, she just found it so posh an old-fashioned.

-" Actually, I am. My house is quite rubbish. I had devolopped the habit of laying in the street, my darling. You must try it. I am pretty sure you'll grow fond of it" She said in a posh british accent, imitating him before she shook her head in disapproval. " Jerk" She mumbled.

-" I had never thought a girl would actually bleed for me, and yet here you are". His voice was dripping with amusement which only enraged Rebekah more. He didn't even try to apologize, on the contrary, he was enjoying the scene. Her gritted teeth accentuated her jaw line and she shot her head to his direction ready to fire all sort of profanities.

Words never dared to escape her mouth. Next to her stood Isaac Collins. The Isaac Collins.
