She couldn't move. Her whole body was frozen. It was like she couldn't beilve her eyes. Her entire mind seemed to shut down, as different thoughts started racing through it.
She shouldn't be here.
Or at least that's what Rebacca thought. But it was too late for her to back away now. She was already standing at the door of his hospital room. She cursed herself as her legs started shaking, unable to get to the side of his bed.
She took a deep breath and forced herself in. Her fragile body seemed so small in this big white room. It was so scary she could've swore it was haunted. Everything in the room was spotlessly clean, yet she felt that everything was dirty. You could smell sickness in the air. It was cold, and everything was made of stainless steel.
Her eyes finally fell on the boy laying in the bed. His was pale as the moon, cold as the winter weather, yet he made blood rush through Davina, and made her hands become clammy. He always had that effect on people.
She felt a weird feeling rush through her body, making her shiver. She didn't know if it was fear, worry, or concern. Maybe it was all combined.. She felt tears form in her eyes, and she didn't know why.
Was she feeling guilty ?
She blamed herself for it. If she hadn't lost Davina in the crowd, Noel wouldn't have to go look for her, and get stuck in the fire. She dared to grab his hand, in hers. It was cold, but she didn't care. She wanted to share her warmth with him. That's the least she could do for him, after what he's done.
"- Visit time is over. I'm afraid you have to leave miss." A nurse annouced. Rebecca, nodded smiling at the middle-aged lady, and pointing a finger at her.
"- Give me one minute." The nurse walked out of the vaste room, giving more privacy toRebecca.
"- Get well soon !" She whispered softly in his ear before letting go of his hand, and deserting the hospital room.

"- He looked pale. But the doctors said he could leave soon." Rebecca assured her friend. When her friend didn't say a word, he asked "- Davina, are you still there ?"
"- Yeah, yeah. It's just that I feel guilty."
"-I know. I'm worried about him." She hugged herself tighter, to prenvent the cold breez from getting to her. It was always cold at the beach at this time of the night
"- I know you are. I am too. But as you said, he will be fine. Before you know it, he will be back, breaking more hearts." Davina, chuckled, trying to light up the mood, and to cheer up her friend. That's what Rebekah liked about Davina. She was always there to make a lame joke, or to bring up ice cream and movies, when she wasn't feeling good.
"- Yeah, and mine is one of them.." Rebekah murmured more to herself, than to her friend.
"- Gotta hang up deary, call you later !" Rebekah shoved her phone in her pants' back pocket, and made her way through the sand. She took off her shoes, feeling the sand beanith her feet. It shined under the moonlight like dimandes. Gone were the bright specks of umbrellas that dotted the seashore during the daytime. Gone were the sand castles and buckets and children playing happily along the shore. This nighttime beach was lonely and almost frightening. The sea was now dark and turbulent seeming as though it was hiding some deep secret beneath its murky waters. She made her way to the edge of the beach bridge, and sat down, letting her feet hang loose, barelly touching the water.
"- It's late for a girl like you to be here." A calm raspy voice spoke out of nowhere, making Rebecca jump from fright and terror. She turned around, scanning the place, looking for the voice's owner, but her eyes only met darkness.
"-Who's there ?" She took deep calming breaths.
It's Havenwood, nothing bad ever happens here. Rebecca tried to convice herself.
"-Boogie man !" The voice yelled, and before she knew, she was being dragged to the cold motionless water. The water pushed down on her from all sides. The more she truggled, the more disorentatied she got. Nothing made sence to her. She pushed the water with her arms, and legs, trying to reach the surface but couldn't, she kept kicking hard, but couldn't find a levarage. She felt like she was only bringing herself further down.
Her lugs gasped for air, but she seemed to be getting water, and only water. Her eyes started becoming gloomy, and cloudy. Her body was becoming tired, and it couldn't lift her up anymore. Memories of that night came rushing before her eyes, filling her heart with furry, and anger, but at the same time with fear and terror.
Se felt the need to get herself to the surface, but it seemed as if she couldn't; as if something dark was dragging her down. But then again, maybe it was just her thoughts.
She closed her eyes, and it's only then that she felt something lift her up to the surface. Someone.
Her lungs, finally reached for air, and it seemed as if she rose from the dead. But when her eyes fell on the boy next to her, she wished if she was never dragged out of that water.
"- What the hell is wrong with you !"
"- What's wrong with me ? What the hell is wrong with you !"
"- I'm not the one who tried to drown you in the fucking ocean !"
"- And what kind of seventeen years old teenage girl doesn't know how to swim ?"
"- My dad died drowning you jerk !"
She pushed past him, and started walking towards the beach's exit. She felt blood rush through her body with anger, or was it pain ? She didn't care, all she wanted was to get away from Isaac Collins, because whenever he goes, trouble follows.
