Light peaked through an open window of a hospital. The patient, is not a normal one. No he is a survivor of the wasteland. A wasteland due to nuclear bombs that plagued the earth. Known as a vault dweller, he was in an induced slumber, only to fast forward 200 years in the future. Many things has changed.

Fate does seem to favor this man and his odd group of survivors, since they can't seem to catch a break for long. Always testing their limits, until they meet their match. Which they did. A bounty was placed on three of the group 's heads for an unknown reason. And the bounty hunters came, found, and rendered them all defenseless against the harsh environment. At least, that's what they thought. Little did they know that they all survived the attack.

All of them were taken to a strange place. A place were it flushes with nature. The very definition of the place this group was trying to find, labeled "the green place". But unfortunately, it isn't all that it seems. They don't know what this place hides.

So when the patient woke up, he was ecstatic, completely unaware of the horrors within.

He got up from the hospital bed and stumbled a bit. The patient grabbed the bed side to steady himself. Then he noticed white bandages with dried blood stains on his arms. He examined his body and found another on his right upper thigh, upper left arm, and one that's wrapped diagonally on his right side of his head, and strangely one on his neck. All wrapped and bloodied.

He ignored the pain that ran across his body and stretched his arms. Immediately he felt lightheaded, but again he ignored his body's warnings. He walked towards the window which had a flower pot on the windowsill. Then the patient looked out the window. His mouth gapped open in amazement. It was beautiful!

All around, full built houses and stores, people in clean clothes. And in clown makeup? But what was the most noticeable was the green. The green of nature! Something that his group longed for.

Then it hit him. His group! His friends! Where were they? His group consisted of a talking dog that only some people can understand, a robot, a salesman, and a... ghoul.

The smile fell from his face when he remembered what transpired before the ambush. He had a fight with him, causing him to leave the group. "We'll find him, and I'll apologize. As
soon as I find everyone else first." He thought.

While trapped in his thoughts, he didn't notice a very familiar robot entering his hospital room. "Hello patient 11100101, how are you this fine morning?" The robot asked.

Cory the patient, snapped his attention to the robot and smiled excitedly. "Dawn! Hey! What happened? Where are we?" He asked. Then noticed that he got repaired immensely. Cory started to circle Dawn, still limping. "Nice paint job ya got there Dawn, and you got a new eye too."

Dawn only seemed confused. "I'm sorry patient 11100101, I have no idea what you're talking about." Cory was shocked.

"W-What are you on about Dawn?" How could Dawn forget? "You had a missing eye and you were all like, rusted! Kinda old too." He added.

The robot looked taken back, "Well I may not be the newest model of care robots but I am certainly not old."

"No, that's not the thing Dawnsworth, you look... new.

The two sat in silence for a few seconds, then Dawn got a realization, and gave a sympathetic look towards Cory. "Ah I see, you are experiencing false memories from your accident. Only a vivid dream you had. You were in and out of consciousness for weeks now, so you may have seen me how your mind misinterpreted my appearance.

"But it wasn't just a vivid dream Dawn. It was real! You just have to remember! Cory exclaimed.

Dawn sighed. "Maybe that blow to your head was more serious than we originally thought. But do not worry, in due time you will recover and start thinking a bit more clearly." Before his patient could interrupt again, Dawn swiftly continued. "But do not worry, for again, it is very normal, as well as feeling a bit disoriented. You were also said to have lost a lot of blood, so you may be dizzy at times, so I highly recommend that you lie back down and rest and later I'll come back with breakfast, since you haven't eaten normally for a while."

Cory gripped his hair in distress. "No. No, that can't be true. I...I..." His voice faded.

The care robot looked sad. "I apologize that we cannot help you any further. But right now I think you should lie down and take it easy."

"No. N-No, I'm fine, I think I'll go and get some air Dawn." Cory replied. He went to grab his forehead, because he began to get a headache, but he didn't feel skin, he felt metal.

A jolt of surprise went through Cory's body. How could he forget?! How could he forget the very deformity that made him different from other humans? He wandered away from Dawn to look in a mirror that was to the left of the bed.

There he saw his reflection. A freak of nature. For a camera covered half of his face. His eyes and nose were hidden behind the camera. It doesn't affect his sight and smell, but it is still an oddity. He just has to look through a lens and smell from within the camera. He can't exactly take it off, since it's literally attached to his face. Unaware of its origins, he normally shoves it to the back of his mind to focus on just surviving.

But, he doesn't have to as of now, and then he started thinking. What if Dawnsworth was right? Was everything just a dream? Were those memories...false? "No." He chided himself. They were real. "I know it."

Dawn looked confused. "I'm sorry? No, never mind. Now patient 11100101, you need bed rest. Care robot's orders."

But his patient ignored him. "I'm going out. Right now I don't need bed rest or breakfast. I need to heal, restore your memories, and find our friends." Cory said confidently, his determination set.

Dawn sighed in frustration. "This patient is extremely stubborn." He thought. "Please patient 1110-"

"Cory."

"Then Cory, you need to calm down. Maybe something to eat is what you need. So I want you to stay here while I--hey?! Where do you think you're going?!"

"Out." He simply replied, and left out the door.
