Problematic

"Woah!" Adam caught Cory before he hit the ground.

    "Dawn! What happened?" Nick questioned worriedly.

    The robot moved closer to his unconscious friend after making a few sounds, he replied. "My scanners read that he's just unconscious. Nothing to serious."

    "Yeah, but why?" Asked Adam as he positioned Cory to a more comfortable one.

    Uni tried to come up with an explanation. "Maybe it has something to do with his amnesia." He growled. "If I ever find out who did this I'll-"

    "Ha!" Adam barked. "When I find them they'd be dead by my deagle."

    "Potions will be forcefully shoved down their throat. That would be twenty bottle caps each." Nick threatened.

    "I believe we should stop threatening unnamed names and think what we'll do with Cory and his memory problem." Dawn suggested.

    The ghoul sighed. "Yeah, let's get on that."

    Nick chewed on his bottom lip nervously.

    After a few minutes of brainstorming, no one could think of a solution.

    The salesman let out a breath. "Okay," he started, "since we couldn't think of any good ideas, I'll say mine."

Adam stared at him. "You had an idea this whole time?"

"I don't care, as long as it works." Stated Uni.

"Why didn't you say that you had an idea Nick?" Questioned Dawn.

Said man scratched the back of his neck. "Because this really don't solve anything."

"As long as no loves are at risk. It's the best thing now." Dawn stated.

Nick nodded his head. "Alright, this is what we have to do."

Cory let out a groan as a bright light gleamed in his eyes.

"Ma'am! He's awake!" He heard a voice yell.

He had a huge throbbing headache and felt hot. What happened?

Then he remembered. A group of four cornered him and claimed to know him. Wait...was that all just a dream? Did that happened?

Cory was pulled from from his thoughts as Mayor Aphmau walked briskly towards him with Nick and General Jin in tow.

He swallowed. What was he suppose to say? Then he got an idea; ask questions first. "What...what happened?"

Aphmau started. "When Nick went to visit you weren't answering. He felt like something was wrong and went inside. I'm glad he did because you were no where to be found."

Nick continued. "I alerted Jin and sent a small search party. It was him who found you behind a building over near the park."

"Do you know what happened?" Cory asked again.

Aphmau sighed. "We were hoping you could tell us that."

    "Well what do you remember?" Asked Nick.

    "And what were you doing the night of last night?" Jin asked seriously.

    "Jin. Stop." Aphmau said in exasperation.

"Sorry." He said sheepishly.

"All I did was take a walk last night because I couldn't sleep...and woke up here." Explained Cory. Well, it is the truth.

Nick eyed him suspiciously. "Are you sure that's all?"

Cory gave a straight face and steadily said "Yes."

The mayor sighed. "Alright. Well something must've happened. And I'm determined to find out what." With that she left.

"Stay the night in the hospital just in case something happens, the doctors can reach you in time so that something detrimental doesn't happen." Nick said.

Cory was shocked. It sounded that this Nick generally care about him. But that other Nick...

"Alright."

"And Cory? Please," Nick took him by the shoulders. What scared Cory, was the look of fear shown on his face, "if anyone try's to hurt you or take you away...just, promise me you'll tell me. I know I didn't really show it back then but... When you didn't recognize me...it was heart shattering for me. Just please, I'm begging you. Tell. Me."

Cory swallowed. Feeling torn, he opened his mouth to reply.

    "He is confused Adam, I'm not sure if it would work." Stressed Dawnsworth.

    "Well do you have any smart ideas Dawn?" Replied Adam angrily.

    "Your idea might make it worse..."

    "I think it could drill something in Cory's thick skull and make him remember things."

    "Adam's right Dawn." Said Nick.

    The robot sighed. "Fine. But I hope you'll know how Cory will feel."

    "Well that's a risk we'll be willing to take." Said Nick with determination.

    "If we explain some things, then I think I can work this out." Stated Adam.

    "Plus no one can here him from the basement!" Exclaimed Uni.

    "Alright. But Uni?" Dawn turned to the dog. "I highly recommend not saying that."
