Cory has never felt so lost. Well, he couldn't remember the last time he was lost before his apparent accursed accident.
His brain felt like it was washed clean by the River Lethe, the River of Forgetfulness from Greek mythology. The blank in his mind was very frustrating. Cory didn't know who to trust.
Cory was in the living room of his house thinking. He flexed his hand, his mind swarming with jumbled up thoughts.
On the bright side, he was healing quite nicely. Most of his bandages were off. Now he only had them on his head and arms.
Cory was conflicted, to say the least. Everything that came out of everyone's mouth seemed true. And yet he had a strange feeling they weren't.
He sighed and banged his head in frustration. "Maybe a nap would be good."
He lifted himself up and put on his nightwear. Cory entered his bedroom with an unsettling feeling. He went under the sheets and closed his eyes, letting himself go into a dreamless sleep with a frown.
When he woke up it was dark. Cory sat up and bit his lip. He wasn't as tired as before, but he wanted to go outside to get some fresh air. Probably go on a late night walk.
He frowned. Nick and Jin would be worried with those crazy people still roaming free.
His eyes widened. "What?" He thought. He seriously can't be thinking this. He will not depend on them. They are very suspicious and he won't trust them. It's a gut feeling.
Cory thought that he could be more vulnerable with the absence of his memories. But no, he won't be manipulated by these people.
Instead, he put on his flats, a coat, and headed out for a walk.
When he walked around the town, it was like a ghost town. No one was out, or any cars.
He was a bit disturbed bit continued walking. Cory was also a bit confused. It was only around nine, some people would still be out. He kept an ear out for anyone just in case.
Cory liked the breeze that blew past his face. Even though it didn't feel fresh it calmed his nerves.
He stopped his walk to let his mind wander a bit, while staring absently at the street.
"Psst." He heard a voice call quietly.
He ignored it though. He thought it was some kids or something else.
"Psst." He heard again.
Cory shook his head and rolled his eyes. He was getting a splitting headache.
"Psst!"
Cory swiftly turned 180 degrees ready to protect himself. But he came face to face with nothing.
He laughed nervously. "I'm really losing it." He told himself.
He traveled to the park again. Cory didn't know why, but he really liked it. Maybe the sights.
He allowed a small smile to creep up his face. Finally he could clear his head.
That was short lived.
He felt a hand clasp over his mouth and was forcefully pushed back behind a building.
He struggled all the way here. He was almost certain that these were the people that somehow has a sort of relation with him and want something from him. Joy.
Before he could get a word out, other figures popped up. He was out numbered.
They all did what he didn't expect. They hugged him. Like a huge group hug.
