Don't Want to Hurt Anymore (Legolas)

Please don't read if you will end up triggered.

You cringed as the elven prince chased after you, calling your name. You ran faster, dodging tree branches and roots until you found the right path. The path that lead to your favorite spot in the entirety of Greenwood. With a sigh you stoped running and walked right into the tree branches that obscured the path from sight.

"I'm sorry Legolas." You whisper to yourself as you follow the sound of rushing water. The sound grew louder as you move closer to the edge of the rock. You prayed that the Valar could forgive you for what you planned on doing.
It would hurt your Ada and your Nana and it would hurt Thranduil as he thought of you as a daughter as well.  As you moved closer to the edge, you took a deep breath knowing it would be the last one you would ever take of you fell from such a height into the raging waters below.  You closed your eyes and felt the tears run down your face. You could hear Legolas calling for you. He would find the path, and he did.
"Y/N..." Legolas said once he saw you standing at the edge of the rock formation.
You smiled at him sadly as you turned to face him.
"Goodbye Leggy.." You trailed off as you stepped backwards as he took a step towards you.
"Don't do this Y/N" he pleaded. You shook your head.
"Please Legolas..  Let me go." You said to him as you hit the edge of the rock. You sniffed and looked at him to see tears streaming down his face.
"I will see you again Leggy.." You tried to comfort him before you let gravity pull you down. He raced towards the edge and watched your body hit the water with a deafening smack as he screamed for you to come back.

He sank to his knees as he heard his Ada yelling for him. His cries lead Thranduil to the cliffs overlook.
"Legolas... where is Y/N?" Thranduil asked. At that  question Legolas seemed to have a hard time breathing.
"She's gone.." Was all Legolas managed.
"Gone? What do you mean gone?" Thranduil asked as he knelt by his son. Legolas pulled out the note you had written before you left the palace, hoping no one would find it before you died but fate wasn't on your side and handed it to Thranduil.
To my dearest family and who it may concern,
I have had a very hard time thinking of what to say here. So I shall just out with it. I had found the one I wanted to spend my life with... but he died a long time ago in the battle of five armies. I knew no one would accept our relationship since he was a dwarven king and I was nothing but a serving girl in the woodland realm. So we parted in good terms hoping to see each other before we parted this world. And neither of us saw the other again. Until now, I wish that none of you blame yourselves for my actions. Actions that needed to be taken. With all my love ,

Tears cascaded down Thranduils face as he folded the letter back up and handed it back to Legolas.
"She is with her king now my little leaf. We pray that she is happy." Thranduil tells his son as he wraps an arm around Legolas as the two grieve in silence.
