The female dwarf smiled at the hobbit after her brother had said some harsh things to Bilbo atop the carrock before hugging him.
"Auntie..." Said two very worried voices. The female turned her head to look at her beloved nephews.
"I'm fine boys. I've had wounds worse than these in the past." She said, nodding to Thorin who looked over at her. Her brothers eyes hardened in the sunlight at the mention of the scars she now carried.
"Leave your aunt alone Fíli. Kíli." Thorin demanded as he walked over to check her wounds as he had done many years prior.
"Are you trying to get yourself killed?" Thorn growled at his younger sister. She laughed coldly and looked at him with narrowed eyes.
"He tried to kill me before Thorin. It's no different now than it was then. He learned that day that we Durin's would not be easily defeated." She growled back as she shrugged him off and stood.
"And what am I supposed to do if he does kill you?" Thorin asked her. She stiffened and turned to face him.
"You move on like I did after Moria." She snarled, causing Thorin's eyes to widen a little bit. She stalked off to talk to Gandalf and Bilbo as Thorin sat with his head in his hands, wondering why she was being so cold to him when he heard her laugh. Thorin jerked his head up at the sound of her laughter but relaxed when he saw it was just the hobbit who was blushing a bright red while Fíli and Kíli looked on in pure happiness. Thorin stood and walked towards his nephews, a slight smile on his face at the sound of his sisters laughter.
When you saw Thorin walking towards your little group, you ignored him but mentally smiled at the fact that he was smiling.
"Men lubbanhuks menu." You whispered to Bilbo, causing the poor hobbit to blush as Thorin raised his eyebrows and your nephews cheered as the rest of the company smiled and patted you on the back for finally admitting your feelings for your burglar. The Hobbit looked confused for a few seconds until he grasped the meaning of what you had said to him when he smiled at you and kissed your knuckles, while quietly saying the same thing but your ears caught the three words he had said.
