Underestimation & Overcompensation - Part 2 Fluff

ha guess who wrote another part bitch. it's just some follow up fluff but don't worry this kink returns ;)

informal style again, hope y'all are cool with it. don't get me wrong I'm still doing dialogue and overall it's pretty similar to a one-shot, but I'm writing it with some of my commentary, which is fun. pardon the profanity I just get worked up ok

Imagine the next morning you wake up to the sun shining through the window and you're both totally late for work. Spencer just keeps cursing under his breath and you are literally so sore even thinking about moving fucking hurts. So you just lay helplessly in the sheets while he runs around trying to clean himself up and listen to his twenty thousand voicemails from the team.

And after a minute he turns to you and asks why you aren't getting up, and you shoot him this look that says are you fucking kidding me? so he backs off and as he buttons up his shirt he's got this little smile on his face because he just knOWs that he fucked you too hard and he knows how much you fucking loved it.

You manage to grab your phone off the bedside table and call your boss to tell him you can't make it today because you're sick and Spencer is just pulling on his cardigan smirking smirking smirking and you can barely focus on your boss telling you to rest up because Spencer looks so fucking proud of himself. When you finally hang up and Spencer is fully dressed he leans down to kiss you goodbye. You wrap your arms around his neck and pull him into you, which causes him to nearly fall back onto the bed. He makes a little surprised umph sound but you don't let him take his lips off yours because he just tastes so good and you don't want him to leave.

And he whispers to you that he really does have to leave and you tell him you know, but you don't you stop kissing him. Finally, he escapes your grasp, getting the upper hand by biting your lower lip. You whine that it's not fair and he took advantage of your weakened state but he just giggles and walks out, telling you he loves you and he'll call you if they have to travel.

Right so Spencer gets to the office and everyone is already waiting in the briefing room and he rushes in a big bumbling mess and they all stare. Most of them just give him blank and confused looks but Morgan recognizes the fact that he's wearing yesterday's clothes and he just gets the biggest smile on his face. He stands up and he claps Spencer on the back, mockingly clutching his heart.

And he says something like "Pretty boy finally did it!" And the rest of the team giggles and chuckles (excluding Hotch, who instead lets his mouth twitch - basically the same thing as a giggle for him, right?) but Spencer is just totally exhausted from the night before and the rushed commute and he's still feeling pissy about them teasing him so he is nOt having it.

And he just slams his messenger bag down into the seat they saved for him and he sits himself down hella angry and the team just goes silent. Morgan looks around like What the hell? And Hotch gives shoots him a glance telling him to just sit down and so he does and they have a nice n awkward rundown on their next case. Spencer seethes the whole way through, not offering up his early theories or piping in with any facts. Everyone can feel the thin ice, but no one wants to break it.

Okay so let's say a week or two goes by and everything has pretty much subsided. You can walk once again and Spencer and the team are on good terms.

But since everything goes back to normal, the teasing also returns. And Spencer doesn't go crazy like he did before every new time they tease him but you can still tell he's tense about it. So eventually you make a plan to come in and surprise him at work, hoping an opportunity will soon arise that presents an excuse for you to show up. Part of you wants to prove his coworkers wrong, part of you wants to help out Spence, but this other huge part of you knows it'll be fucking hilarious between the team's astonishment and Spencer's embarrassment.
