"silence, the most beautiful sound."
silence
we waited hours, days; it didn't matter.
time would have to wait when you came.
the blood, the sweat, the tears, they were not in vain.
would it be worth it, i had prayed all night
abandoned all sleep and kept awake, stars in my eyes.
but everyone's the same in the end.
everyone has their stars; all the same, but different.
and where do i stand among all their allure?
this night would not be mine, it would be ours.
the line stretched endlessly, the wait guided me.
realization hit hard and opened my eyes to see
that your beauty was absent, the hurt was silent.
your presence was needed, the necessity sincere.
the clock ticked, tears brimming and stars twinkling.
the magic was never gone, this was just the beginning.
and then your voice broke me, flung all my barriers
the stars exploded, and down came the tears.
all night we held each other but you did not know
my unclaimed kiss was all i had to show.
then came the storm, as gentle as the plucking of a string
they were blinded, lustful; only i saw you fading.
but you came back, you made my forever
yet all they saw was you, and all i saw was the never.
the darkness fell, did it end; they all held their breath.
but all i saw was you, all i heard was you, all i felt was your presence
when there was nothing but the silence.
