"words that stay with you, even if it's just one sentence. that's what I want to achieve."
a tribute
you know how they say that what you fight for most is not love but life?
i don't believe it anymore, those words are a lie
if i and them and everyone else live
why don't you, when you had so much to give?
these flowers that lie on your grave, they don't do you justice
the tears of millions and the broken hearts do instead.
your fight was so true, you gave millions a goal,
you gave them a life in yours, how could you take your own?
i now know that what they say is true
god wouldn't take me instead, he had to take you
only because your cause was so pure.
if only i could turn back time
and tell you that it's worth living this life.
even if you are not here anymore,
your memory lives forever in our souls.
even if we are now far apart,
your love lives on forever in our hearts.
A/N- This poem has been written in the memory of Kim Jong-hyun, who taught me to fight for a cause greater than myself.
May his soul rest in peace.
