"discover thy self."
the best time
raindrops tap on the window pane
beckoning me,
calling me.
but i reined the wild side in
i must not set it free
yet i walk out the door,
letting the raindrops embrace me
my lips, my hands
my eyelids, my feet
and all the while i think
what the hell
my wild side is calling me
and i think i want to
set it free.
so i roam
let the winds guide me,
tell me where to go
and the wild side inside me;
it roars with the thunder
and dances with the lightning,
runs with the rain
so happy to be finally free.
it was never meant to be domesticated,
this spirit of adventure
and now that
i set it free
i know i have become
what i was meant to be.
