"she was the beautiful dream i had been searching for; the one to wake me up."
a good girl's dream
we sat there downing tequila shots
talking of zombies and Harry Potter
and all of my wasted thoughts
i gave up to you.
they threw us out of the bar
because we laughed too loud
so we sat on your car
with swelling hearts and rolled up cigarettes.
i couldn't tell you i'd never drank
or even smoked
you guessed though, i think
but you just let it go.
you looked so beautiful that night
eyes closed and the smoke
pouring out of your mouth like sin
looking at me with eyes
that made my insides melt.
the stars came alive right then
swarming the skies
like fireflies
just so they could see your face.
you sat on the hill
looking like aphrodite
as the stars whispered
and the smoke embraced your unearthly beauty.
when you spoke to me
your mouth still smelled of the tequila
and the weed
and when you kissed me right then,
right there,
i realized that i didn't care.
