Dan woke to find himself in a different room than what he was used to with someone hugging him from behind. It was warm and the sun was already near the top of the sky, the beams of light slipping through the window onto the blue and green checkered bed sheets that he was under. Dan took a deep breath through his nose and out his mouth; soothing scents were coming from a familiar yellow plant sat on the windowsill. He was in Phil's room, comfortably held in soft, tattooed arms.
As his eyes started to fully flicker open from his deep slumber, he noticed that the room was a lot messier than what he saw last night.  However, it was cozy and felt strangely reminiscent of his own home where Dan had piled dirty jumpers and pants on the floor to be washed "later". That seemed to be the case for Phil, as well, because Dan glanced at the ground and saw his own brightly colored clothes next to Phil's dark ones, minus his boxer shorts.
The pastel boy shifted to a more comfortable position on his side, and Phil, in response, pulled him closer to his chest, sighing in his sleep and letting out a soft snore.  Dan couldn't believe how perfect this moment was and how amazing last night was - all of it.  He started to remember the events from the day before; from his awkwardness at the park with having to chase after Maya, formally meeting Louise, walking back to his apartment with Phil's hand in his own, then playing his favorite game with his favorite person.  Dan also recalled the conversation with Phil at sundown.  It was all so lovely.  Every tree and every flower bed that Dan could see out of the window seemed to be in full bloom; Dan felt for once that the world was at peace, and he was even, for the first in a long time, happy.
The pastel boy felt Phil stir behind him, and a gruff and sleepy voice followed.
"Danny, are you awake?"  The voice asked.
Dan moved to his other side to find that the punk boy still had his eyes closed; black eyeliner was smudged across his eyelids.
Dan smiled and said, "The real question is when did you start calling me Danny?"
"About the same time you started calling me daddy," the sleepy lump smirked as he replied.
The pastel boy began to protest in a soft morning voice.  "I never!-"
     "-But you did!-"
     "It was a joke, you-"
     "-Danny-"
     "-moldy baguette-"
"-Dannnny-"  Phil started to pat Dan on his shoulder.
     "-piece of burnt panini-"
"-Dan!"  Phil shook the loquacious boy to a halt.
Dan stopped his petty insulting and looked up at Phil.  "What?"
"You look adorable when you're frustrated."
A hint of rose showed on Dan's cheeks.
Phil continued, "Also, shut up, I'm too tired for bants."
"Wow, thanks mate, you really saved the argument there, huh?  But I'm hungry; we really should get something to eat.  Maybe we could go down to the cafe and eat.  I'm sure Louise would love to see us there. Or we could just eat here-"
This time, Dan's rambling was physically quieted by Phil pressing his lips against the other man's.  When they separated, the once playfully angry boy put them back together.
"Eating here sounds like a great idea, I have plenty of food,"  Phil agreed, pulling Dan into a soft hug.  "But first you'll have to find a way to get me out of bed because I don't want to let you go."
"I can put on this new anime I found while we eat," Dan offered.
Phil shifted out of the embrace to get a better look at the younger man's face.  "Never mind, that'll do it for me. Let's go!"
The punk boy stood up on the bed and put his hand around Dan's arm, attempting to drag him off the bed.
"C'mon, sleepyhead, I want to see this anime now or I'll die trying to pull you out of this room!"
"Ugh, five more minutes, mum. I'll be out in a second!" Dan groaned.
"Fine, I'll go ahead and make you a bowl of cereal, then. Would you like bran or Lucky Charms?"
"Charm me up!" Dan exclaimed. And with that, Phil put on his glasses (which look hot, by the way) and left the room to enter the kitchen, still wearing only his underwear.
Dan pulled his body into a sitting position, his back on the head of the bed. It was quite warm this morning for it only being, what Dan tilted his head to find, nine o'clock.  Dan wondered what time Phil had to go to work, as it was Monday.  Wait, no-he might still be off today.  Yesterday was Easter.
For some reason, the thought of yesterday brought him, for the second time this morning, to last night.  How he and Phil answered their fan's questions, how they smiled and laughed the entire time, and the way Phil smirked before pouncing on top of him.  He was so surprised that he would be falling for someone who seemed to be the complete opposite of himself, yet they were, in many ways, the missing pieces of each other.  And not to mention the *cough* sex...  I need a healthy dose of the bible.
The still dreaming boy began to sluggishly pull himself out of bed.  Without caring about his half naked appearance, he made his way toward the kitchen.  Once he was within eyeshot of Phil, however, he stopped completely.  In front of him, the black-haired man was digging his hand into the cereal box and shoving fistfuls of the sugary mix into his mouth.
"Phil!  What are you doing?"  Dan shouted.  Phil turned halfway around to look at Dan, flakes of cereal apparent through his bulging cheeks and a guilty look on his face.
"I'm sorry," he apologized, after swallowing the majority of the flakes.  "I really should get back to pouring this out..."
Before he could start adding cereal to the empty bowls on the counter, Dan walked over to the verdict of the cereal crime and hugged him from the back, resting his chin on Phil's shoulder.
"At least it wasn't the Lucky Charms I wanted," Dan chuckled.  "But next time, try to put all of it in the bowl before shoving it into your mouth."
Phil laughed, still with a trace of guilt, while Dan hugged him even tighter.  Soon, they were on the couch watching the anime of the pastel boy's choice which had to do with a stunningly muscular male swim team.  Dan noticed halfway through the episode, however, that Phil wasn't paying attention to the men in speedos on the screen, but solely on Dan with a small, affectionate smile.

AN:
After *checks calendar* like three weeks, I'm back at it again with another update! I couldn't've put it off any longer than I did, I don't think. Either way, it's here!
Also, if you haven't noticed, is is the fourteenth chapter... I'm not sure how far I want to go with this. There really is no other plot device I could use other than killing one of them??but why would I do that? If you have any suggestions, lemme know dude!
Many thanks,
-Em
