"And then he asked for my number." I looked at Amira with wide eyes as if I just saw a ghost.

She made a disgusted face. "What the hell does he want?"

"I don't know if he wants me to just be one of his hoes or if he actua----"

"Yup! That's exactly what he wants from you. Just sex." Amira insisted. She immediately sat up straight on my couch. After school we always went to each other's houses to do homework.

"He kinda did the same thing to my best friend, Layla, freshman year. Trigger cheated on her for four months straight." Amira said, angrily. "Their entire relationship was a lie. That boy ain't nothing but a cheater and a liar."

I shrugged. "I don't know... he seemed pretty nice to me."

Amira turned to me with a motherly look. "No. Don't do it. Don't fall for his tricks."

I gave her a funny look. "What tricks?"

"This is what Trigger does, sweetheart. He uses his cute, boyish charm to woo girls just to get in their pants and break their heart."

"Do you even know him?" I protested. "I know that he is nothing but trouble. Including relationships and legal trouble. Do you know how many times that boy got arrested?!" Amira made it sound like she was his damn parole officer.

I looked down. "Yeah, yeah I know. I don't even like him like that anyway. If he ever tried anything on me I'd probably call the cops." I sassed.

"Right." Amira agreed. "This man has done reckless shit. Like, steal his teacher's car, fought with brass knuckles, fighting teachers. He was wild even as a child!"

I smirked. "He's funny though." She made a straight face. "Just hilarious." "You don't like this boy very much, do you?" "Hell no, I hate him with a passion." I laughed.

"Just stay away from him, okay? He's trouble." Amira begged. I knew my closest friend was only looking out for me. I looked in the other direction. "Ok."

The next day

I walked by Trigger on the way to lunch while he was posted up against the lockers and talking with his boys "Savage" and "Crazy".
