"So... what about last night?" Trigger mentioned as we walked together before class. I blushed in embarrassment thinking about it.
"Smoking is fun, I guess. It really gets me out of my comfort zone." I shrugged with an innocent smile.
"Yo, you're a maniac Lemy." Trigger exclaimed. You almost fell off a bridge! You even scared me. And I'm not afraid of anything."
"Well you're definitely afraid of me getting hurt. I know that for a fact." I gave him a knowing look.
He glanced at me with a shy smile. "Yeah... you right. I want to protect you. I just feel as though I should."
I said nothing but just kept walking, because I thought what he said was sweet but I didn't know how to respond.
"So, you tryna do something fun with me and the boys tonight?" "Well I don't know... your definition of fun is pretty dangerous to me."
Trigger laughed. "Don't worry, you'll be completely safe. Me and the boys will be there to protect you at all costs."
"What kind of "fun" are we talking?" I protested. "Oh you'll see. I'll be at your house tonight to pick you up by ten." Ten??" I mean... that's pretty late. I have a curfew at 11 on school nights."
"Don't worry about it. I gotchu."

Trigger came to my house around 10:15 that night and picked me up with Savage and Crazy. I sat in the front. "So where are we going?" "To the highest rooftop in Malibu." "That sounds scary." I replied. "Don't worry, you're gonna love it." Savage assured.
All of the boys chuckled in unison. Butterflies appeared in my stomach.
