"And then she refused to be by my side during the trial!" I cried with tears pouring from my eyes. "She said that she just wants to make sure that she doesn't get herself in trouble, she doesn't even give a shit about me!" I buried my face in Jeremiah's shirt and continued to weep on him while we were sitting on his couch.
"I am so sorry Haze... I tried to warn you." He gently rubbed my head and cuddled me. "I am such an idiot." I whined. "No you're not. You just choose to see the good in people. And that's what I love about you." He kissed my forehead.
I huffed. "I wasted so much time with her. All this time I thought she was on my side. She was probably talking shit about me behind my back all this time!" Jeremiah's eyes wandered, then he just stared at me in my eyes, like he didn't know what to say next. I gasped in shock. "I knew it!" More tears welled up in my eyes. "Why would she do that to me?" "Because she's jealous of you." Jeremiah replied, confident with his answer.
I paused. "Why would you think that? What would she be jealous of?? Don't falsely gas me up, Jer, there's nothing special about me." I demanded with a large amount of hurt in my voice. "Haze, you cannot be serious." He rubbed his hands against his face. My face hardened. I didn't say it out of compliment seeking, I was just saying how I felt. "Everything about you is special." He put my face in his palms and stared into my eyes, deeply. "Right down to your gorgeous eyes, fantastic body, and spectacular personality. You're perfect, Haze." He said it with so much passion that it made me stop crying.
"Baby... you really mean that?" He stroked my hair. "Every word." He replied, gently with a small smile. " He held me. "Hey, listen. We will win this trial without her, baby girl."

Main POV:
"Alisha!" Raynah called as she stumbled out of the jail doors, being escorted out by a police officer. Her friends ran to her in joy and gave her a hug. "We missed you!" Asia cheered. "Aw, I missed you guys too. You bailed me out? Wasn't the bail bond like $20,000?" Alisha mentioned.
"Yeah, that's why your stepdad gave us his credit card." Kiara replied waving it in the air. "Right... cause my mom is probably out throwing all of her money away at a casino in Vegas or something. So she was too occupied to even know her own daughter was in jail." Alisha said, quietly, shaking her head.
Raynah quickly switched the subject. "Who cares though? You're out now!" She laughed a bit and scratched her neck. "Yeah, I guess." "So how was jail?" Diana teased. Alisha darted her eyes towards her. "Disgusting. Lonely. Depressing." Diana giggled. "Did you enjoy the prison toilets?" "Diana, shut up." "I'm kidding, geeez."
"All I know is that Lemy bitch cannot win this case." Alisha said. "Well what can we do to make sure she doesn't?" Raynah asked. "I'm not sure yet, I have to hire a lawyer and discuss that with her. All I know is that I will come out on top." She sassed, with crossed arms. "Just like at the fight." They all snickered.
"And if for some strange reason I don't.... let's just say that when I do come at out prison, Hazel is going to wish she was never born." She threatened with so much edge in her voice, she almost sounded scary.
"Don't you think you've already gotten yourself into enough trouble?" Diana pointed out. "And now you're already plotting for revenge even when you come out of prison?" Alisha narrowed her eyes to Diana. "You know Diana, if I didn't know any better I would think that you're against me on this situation."
The girls all turned to her. Diana looked at them with wide eyes. "No! No, no, no. I'm just saying you cannot fight fire with fire." "Oh honey... but the war has just begun." Alisha put her hands on her hips and grinned maliciously.
