Imperfection

Imperfection is beautiful. Don't say it isn't, because it is.

It's what makes us different from anyone else. I have a huge gap between my front two top teeth, and I decided not to get it fixed. It's part of me. Why would I change it? It's different to everyone else and I love it. (You can also fit straws in it when you're drinking stuff so it's useful too.)

In Japan, if a piece of pottery gets broken, they repair it with gold or silver lacquer. (It's called kintsukuroi if you're interested.) It shows that our imperfections really are beautiful. The pottery looks better with the gold and silver imperfections in it than if it was perfect.

Don't feel the need to be perfect. You're you, and you are beautiful.
