Gratefulness is a great thing, and so are cheese graters. So many great/grates.
No, but seriously cheese graters? They're probably the tool I use most in the kitchen cause if you haven't tried grated cheese on hot baked beans then what are you doing cause it's the best quick meal in the world. Also, I am in my mid teens so I don't tend to cook anyways, which means I don't use a lot of kitchen equipment.
Hem. I resume.
(I just read through that paragraph and I have no idea why I spent so long writing about cheese on beans but I'm gonna leave it in there anyway. I'm very tired please don't judge.)
Being grateful for even the smallest things in your life really helps you in being happy with yourself. I don't know why. It makes me feel less jealous of others for some reason and it improves my self-worth slightly also. As I said before, I'm unsure on the answer. Maybe it's because you realise that you have so many things to live for? Maybe it's because by being grateful, you appreciate things more and recognise their worth (not money wise), which impacts on your own worth? I don't know.
But, I do know that by being more grateful, it does help in making yourself happier. Even if it's the smallest things you're grateful for, like hearing birds sing in the morning.
So, this chapter's tip is to show more gratitude and to be more grateful if you aren't already. I really hope it helps as I believe the key to life isn't money or success - it's the experiences you have and the happiness it brings you.
