Candice POV

I hopped out and pulled on some Nike jokers over my thong. The light neon pink Nike shirt Chris had recently brought me fit snugly against my body as I slipped it on. I slipped in my socked then my shoes heading for the door after my things were put away.

"Time?" I asked Christian pulling up my hair as I headed for my phone on the charger. It was more of a habit than anything even though I had no immediate person of interest to call I felt like I needed my phone with me while he took care of Aleah for me.

"6 on the dot. You want your food? And where's her-" I pushed the bottles in his hands and pulled Tristan to me, kneeling in front of him with my phone in hand.

"Mommy's coming back okay?" I said kissing his forehead softly then his cheek. He nodded then patted me on my knee as I looked back at him before thinking to stand. He looked about to say something then paused looking sadly into my eyes with a frown on his sweet little innocent face.

"Where's daddy mommy? I wanna see daddy." He now had his lip poked out quivering like he was about to cry. My heart melted and I looked away and up at Christian who was looking back at me now with the same look on his face.

Should we tell him? I mean, it was better than secrets. He had to understand. Which brought me to the fact that I sounded like him. Trying to explain myself to a three year old. I sighed

"Daddy is going to a place that's not for little kids." Christian spoke up as I stood on my feet. Tristan didn't quite understand and looked confused. He just saw his daddy yesterday and now he's gone.

"Why?" He whined stomping his feet angrily. I could see this was not good and I couldn't stand to stand here and watch him suffer.

"Daddy promised to protect you and he did just that now he's in trouble."I said soothingly. My voice breaking. He seemed to get it, but like Chris his temper got the best of him and he began to cry and pout. I tried to walk to the door unseen, but he caught me and ran for me.

"NO MOMMY!! DONT GO!! MOMMY NO!!" He cried out with all of his might as he grabbed my leg. I stopped, but Christian shooed me out as he grabbed Tristan up. Tristan fought him crying for me. I agreed but every step I took was weighed down by his pleas. I walked out looking away from him as I wiped my face of tears.

I felt bad for leaving the one person who's always been with him everyday. I knew Christian was having a hard time with it too.

_______

The spare key to his car was in my pocket now. He had got it made for me and promised me she'd buy me a car after I had  had Aleah after her becoming 6 months. I didn't see the point in the number, but I agreed. I turned my phone and messages from Chris lined my notification panel from the other day.

She was right about my phone being dead the other day and I laughed it off at the fact that I was mouthing off when she told me to call Christian from her phone.

Out the double doors and into the May sun, I felt like life was out of order. The sun felt so good on my skin. I thought about what it would be like to go to the beach or the boardwalk in New Orleans down and here like me and Chris used to do during spring break. Along with any of her girlfriend's at the time.

None of them seemed to last due to the fact that I was a major problem to them. They all always asked "Why she gotta come, don't she got a place to be?" Which cause Chris to stare at them like they lost theirs looks and say, "This a treat for you, but me and Candy did this before yo ungrateful ass begged to come here cause you fear being replaced. Don't get a big head; we only loving for a moment." and would smile that panty dropping smile at me as I rolled my eyes at the bitch she was at the moment calling her girlfriend. That night in the suite, I knew the girl didn't have her mind on me whatsoever. Chris had it all occupied along with the shower I dared not use until the next morning
