I woke up to the sound of Tristan's loud laughter and smiled up at Aleah who was still sleeping. At least your used to it.

"Hey,  good morning." A nurse with the name tag I hoped not to see again in my life greeted as she smiled down at me nervously. I frowned and sat up as I held Aleah against me protectively.

"What do you want Brandi? I thought I made it clear when I wrote that complaint that I didn't want no business with you. Why are you in my babies room in my face?" I asked annoyed.  I noticed the stitches  that lines her lip,  nose and eyebrow. Also the backed eye and messed up face in particular.

It made me sick to my stomach to see this beautiful girl go from something to nothing and I feared the worst for myself. But if I had any trust in Chris or Chewie, I shouldn't have no worries. Right?

"I-I know I...  Came to apologize." she said looking at me for some sympathy. I watched her face as she shook while she pulled out a letter from her Jean pocket. Handing it to me with a nod.

"It's from Chris.  I should have left it alone.  This whole situation is cause of me she said quietly. Her voice seemed sad and I almost felt bad for her until I thought about my baby and Chris.

"Where's Chris Brandi?" I asked before she could walk off completely. She turned around fidgeted then looked at me.

"They asked if I wanted to press charges for the hospital bill and pain she caused. I said no, but they still charged her with disturbing the peace and assault of authority."she paused and I wanted to yell at her. She knows how Chris is when she's to that point, but all I could do was cry  now cause ain't not telling when I'd be able to actually see her out in the open.

"I didn't think she was serious about you still. Well, I didn't wanna think she was.  In school she was always talking about chillin wit her lil sis and I knew more was wanted from that relationship. She in certain terms, worshiped the ground you walked on. You were more than that little sister in her head. More important than those little girls that flocked to her when they found out she was single. Even the straight girls who found her masculinity appealing to their eyes didn't appeal to her like you did. You were at the top of her list. The girl with the missing glass slipped that fit. Your it." she signed. "I'm sorry I caused someone as beautiful as you or get pulled away from a love sick as this. " she finished. I looked away from her remorseful face to Tristan and Christian who glanced up at me from the Lego's on the floor.

They smiled and Christian gestured for Tristan to come go me.  He jumped up and ran to the bed getting help from a stool to to come sit next to me.

"Hi mommy." he whispered excitedly. I was surprised and chuckled at him as he looked down at Aleah who was beginning to wake up.

"Who taught you how to whisper?" I asked In a small voice squinting at him. He pointed at Aleah then Christian who was now putting away his Legos and about to join us.

"Ch-chewie did mommy." he shouted. I spoke to soon. Way too soon.I nodded and laughed at Christians raised eyebrow as he sat down by Tristan.

"What I do??" he asks me. I shrugged and laughed.

"It's no use. She's used to it somehow. She didn't startle easy when he said that." I laughed.  Christian smiled and held out his hands for her. I shook my head and got up adjusting my sports bra over my chest under the blanket before laying her in front of me.

"She potty!" Tristan said as pulled off her soiled diaper. I nodded.

"Like you need to. Let's go." Christian said grabbing Tristan from the bed and flying them to the restroom where Tristan shooed Christian out. I laughed.
