I just continued walking in a straight line in the hopes that I would stumble across Angela and Jeremy. Eventually, the sunny grassland that I was in became a misty meadow. Huge pine trees appeared in the distance and I walked for hours until the trees were above my head.
I couldn't see very far ahead of me with the thick mist that was hanging in the air. I knew I would not be able to see anybody that wasn't within a meter's radius from where I was. That's why I decided to start shouting out my friends' names.
"Angela! Jeremy! Jason! Anybody?" I shouted repeatedly. I shouted until my throat croaked. I had been shouting for a few minutes when the sound of a twig snapping caught my attention. I looked behind me to the area where the noise came from but I couldn't see anything past the mist. Well, that's not cliché at all. I tried to convince myself that it was just my imagination and I almost succeeded until I heard it again only closer this time.
I started walking a little bit faster and tried to keep quiet. Then I heard another noise and it was very close to me. I kept walking and sped up my pace once again. I looked ahead of me just in time to see a figure move from the one tree to another, I could feel my heart race when I saw it and I squealed. I looked around me on the floor for something I could defend myself with in case it was another wild animal.
I picked up a stone and decided to bring the fight to this, thing. I walked towards the tree that I saw the shadow move behind. I moved slowly and quietly so as not to make my presence obvious to the enemy. I got to the tree and as I was about to walk around the tree- "Ahhh!" I screamed and jumped back when the thing flung itself at me and then I dropped the stone.
I was panting out of pure fright when I heard laughing and I looked up to where it was coming from. This 'thing' that had flung itself at me a few seconds ago was Jeremy and Angela was now standing next to him laughing at me.
"Guys! That's not funny, you almost gave me a heart attack!" I said in anger. "I almost hit Jeremy over the head with a stone, then who would be laughing? That's right none of us!"
They just kept laughing at me and Angela tried to speak through her laughter: " I- 'm.. sorry we just- cou-couldn't pass up the t-this opportunity," she finally managed to say.
I tried to keep a frown on my face but a smile was tugging at the corners of my lips and I eventually I gave in and smiled when I said: "Yeah well, you got me, I almost wet myself." This comment just made them laugh even harder.
After they calmed down they eventually got curious as to how I escaped with my life back when the spider was chasing me. "Oh, yeah it was so weird actually, I threw it with stones until it went away," I told them and giggled.
"Well, I think it was scared away by that ugly face of yours!" Jeremy exclaimed and then he chuckled. I punched his shoulder playfully and the word: "Hey!" was all I could think to say. I knew he was just joking, he had to be because I'm gorgeous my subconscious told me and I smiled at the fake 'big ego' moment I had.
"Well, What do we do now?" Angela asked, bringing me back to reality. None of us had any idea where to go next, so we agreed to just keep walking straight ahead until we found any clues that could lead us to our other friends.
"Guys do any of you know what Zac's biggest fear is?" I asked when it occurred to me that none of us actually knew Zac very well. We had just met him on the day that we all went down the slide and when we tried to get to know him he just gave us a blank stare.
"Well, he wasn't scared of going into that house so we know he can't be afraid of ghosts, creepy abandoned mansions or dark slides that lead into other dimensions," Angela stated with a broad smile on her face.
