"Guys, what the hell is that?" Jeremy asked with a heavy pang of fear in his tone.

Before our eyes in the water, there was a colossal beast that looked like a dinosaur, more specifically it looked like a Plesiosaur. The monster had an azure colour and dark green strips that looked like fins lined it's back. I knew exactly what this creature was from my interest in myths and legends; this was The Loch Ness monster. Which is why I was sitting in the rowboat absolutely speechless and in awe of this mythical creature that clearly wasn't as mythical as we all thought.

My amazement did not last long because it was soon replaced with terror when the monster went back underwater and swam in under the boat. My breath hitched in fright and the next minute the boat was shoved into the air and tipped over. I fell face first into the numbingly cold sea-green water. I quickly paddled back up to the surface to catch my breath but I was immediately dragged back down by something that pulled my ankle.

I opened my eyes to see what was grabbing me and I was shocked to find that it was a human hand that was wrapped around my ankle. I could not see who it was because the water was too dark and murky to identify the person below me. It was probably Jason trying to drown me so that I would stop asking questions that he didn't want to answer.

This person kept dragging me down and I kicked with all my might to fight against it but the person was too strong. I was starting to panic because I was running out of breath but the person did not let me go. I swam against the force that was pulling me down and turned my vision towards the surface.

But I was met with the view of me the loch ness monster swimming in circles around the boat above me, probably looking for us. Then it turned it's neck to face the bottom and it saw us. Then, with miraculous speed, it blasted towards me. I closed my eyes and braced myself for impact, I waited but it never came. However what I did feel was my body starting to shake as I was desperate to breathe. Finally, the hand let go of my ankle and moved towards my shoulders, keeping me down while I struggled against it. Suddenly I felt a person's lips on mine and they were clamping my nose shut with his/her fingers.

What the heck? Was this some kind of joke? I'm drowning and someone decided now would be a good time to kiss me, if this was Jason I sure as hell was going to haunt his ass. And why was he blocking my nose? I could feel that I was running out of breath and my body's impulse told me to breathe and that is what I did. When I inhaled through my mouth the person blew air into my lungs. Oh, I get it now, they're trying to supply me with air. Obviously, this person never had biology because humans exhale carbon dioxide, not oxygen. Idiot.

Something started to churn in my stomach, I assumed that it was my body preparing me for my death. Then my whole body felt like it was on fire. Oh no, does this mean I'm going to hell? I thought. Then my body felt different, it felt lighter and my legs couldn't move and it kind of felt like they were stuck together. Then all of a sudden it was over, the pain disappeared and I felt normal again. 'This is it, I must be dead' I told myself and then I opened my eyes.

To my disappointment, I wasn't at Heaven's gates but I wasn't in Hell's flaming waiting room either. I was in the water where I died but it was different, I could see clearly now and I wasn't quite dead. I inhaled and exhaled like I normally would above the water. In front of me was a very striking and almost enchanting Zac. His eyes were more green than blue in this light, his hair was floating above his head and it had a rich and dark chocolate brown, almost raven colour. My eyes wandered down to his neck where he had a few slits which I assumed were gills that opened and closed every now and then.

My eyes scanned his body, he wasn't wearing a shirt which led me to the realisation that he had a very well shaped torso and it looked like he spent a lot of time in the gym because his abs were very well defined. My eyes widened when they travelled past his midsection where there weren't any legs, instead he had a long and scaly, but very beautiful green tail with a hint of aquamarine or even blue. I was in complete shock, it was appalling enough to discover that the Loch Ness monster was real, but to discover that mermaids were real only a few minutes after was a bit much.
