I stood there awkwardly while they all looked at me in complete confusion.

Zac was the first one to react by embracing me in a hug, I stiffened at his sudden show of affection and just stood there in bewilderment. 'Oh thank Goodness! I'm so glad you're alive, are you okay? And why are you so sticky?' He asked. Holding me an arm's length away from him and studying me up and down.

'I'm fine, I had to use butter to escape from the cuffs so that's why I'm sticky. As for the woman, she only wanted my blood,' I said thinking it would be a sufficient explanation but it seemed as though my statement only befuddled them even more. So I tried to explain by saying that she only drew viles of my blood every few hours and then left.

'Okay, but why does that freak want your blood?' Adam asked and I was genuinely staggered by the interest he was showing in my wellbeing. I was also unsure as to why he spoke of her as if he knew her.

I breathed to answer him but I was cut off by Zac, 'We can discuss this later, let's just get out of here first before she comes back.' I didn't wait for a second invitation and hurried out of the door and went to the left.

Zac yanked my arm turning me to the other side. "This way" he smiled and I blushed, embarrassed by my silly mistake. I followed them through a dark corridor that led to a cave, the same cave I saw in my dreams. There were plants growing at the edge of the cave and they grabbed at me, it was exactly the same as in the dream I had.

When we got to the outside I saw Jeremy waiting for us and Nessie was there too, lying on the ground motionless. My heart constricted and I felt undeniable sorrow. 'What's wrong with him, is he dead?' I asked them.

'No he's just in a deep sleep, we sprayed him with some stuff that made him fall asleep,' Adam said.

'Oh thank goodness!' I said without thinking about the consequences of my words. I received strange looks from everyone there before Adam decided to voice his opinion, 'Why do you even care, he's a monster?'

'He is not-' I paused, thinking about what they would do if I told them about the deep emotional connection I felt with this beast after my dream.

I decided that now was not the time to tell them that and I just said, 'Let's just go before he wakes up.' I swam towards Angela and swam next to her all the way.

After several minutes of swimming in silence a question popped into my head, 'Zac, why are you here, didn't you stay in the city?'

Zac looked at me and it revealed the sad expression on his face. 'Yeah, I did, but when you went missing Adam and the rest came to ask me if I could help them find you. We used the magic mirror in the palace to figure out where you were and then I decided to come along since I knew where it was. I wouldn't be able to forgive myself if something bad happened to you because of me, so here I am. "

I got a weird tickling feeling in my stomach when he said that, but it also made me sad. He left his home for me and back there I was thinking he was behind all of it. I couldn't help but feel extremely guilty.

'Zac, thank you! You really didn't have to do that, I'm sorry that you can't go back, it's all my fault,' I frowned and looked at the floor. I felt so bad forever assuming that he was trying to harm me. I felt ashamed of myself for never trusting him even after he saved my life.

'Hey,' he said and tilted my chin up to face him and then he continued, 'This is not your fault, okay?'

I didn't answer him and looked away, but he didn't let it go.

'Luna,' he scolded and crossed his arms.

'Fine' I said, throwing my hands up in surrender 'can we go now?' I asked when I saw that he didn't look satisfied. But no matter what he said, he could never convince me that it wasn't my fault, there was nothing he could say to make my guilty conscience go away.
