My eyes searched around, but it didn't help, I still couldn't see anything. It was very very dark and I was definitely scared. My own fear of the dark only made my situation that much more unnerving.

Another swishing sound next to me caught my attention and I turned towards it. 'Who's there?' I said, trembling with fear. And what I saw made the hairs on my arms raise. There was a little light that moved in strings along the path of something long, a creature or something. It looked like an electric pulse moving down its body and then disappearing.

I felt compelled to touch the blue slivers of light dancing along on the creature, but the crackling sound that came from the light made me cautious.

Then there were more little noises of movement so close to my side that it almost touched me. I could feel the water next to my hip wave closer to me as another creature swam past me. My eyes were slowly, but surely getting used to the darkness, but not enough to see any detail. I could only make out the outlines of moving figures. My eyes travelled around the room and I saw three long, thick, snake-like figures swimming around me. Every now and then one of them would have an electric pulse move along their bodies. The sight of this made me wish I was back to not seeing anything because they were making me panic.

I had no idea where Zac was and I couldn't see any shape outline that resembled anything other than these creatures that I assumed were giant electric eels. They didn't come close to me, they just circled around me. I didn't actually understand why they were not doing anything. Maybe they liked to torture their prey before eating it. Do eels even eat meat?

I decided to take a chance and swim ahead to see if they would leave me alone. I swam forward and they moved with me, but they didn't come any closer. I continued moving forward and they all just followed me. Once I figured out they were not trying to harm me I felt really cool. I was surrounded by creatures that could hurt me so easily, but instead, they were just following me around like a puppy would follow its owner.

'Zac! Where are you?' I started shouting again, knowing that I had nothing to fear this time. I proceeded through the tunnel until I heard a muffled voice somewhere in the distance. I went towards the voice and eventually, I saw a merman-like figure in the distance.

'Zac, is that you?' I asked and squinted. The figure came closer but didn't say anything. Once again I felt like I was in danger and that maybe the person wasn't Zac. But I was wrong, I knew the moment the person answered, so softly that I almost didn't hear it: 'Luna, be quiet and don't freak out when I tell you this but, there's a whole school of eels behind you.'

The voice confirmed that it was Zac and also explained to me why he didn't answer me. He was afraid of the eels.

'Don't worry Zac, they have been following me since we got here and they haven't harmed me yet,' I said calmly.

Zac sighed and came closer, but then one of the eels behind me swam forward towards him. His body made electrical pulses and he charged forward.

'No!' I screamed and my hand travelled to the body of the eel to stop it from hurting Zac. My fingers made contact with its skin and then I felt two things at once. Firstly I felt a bolt of lightning travel through my body that stiffened my muscles and moved like a cool wave through my veins. And second, I felt the same deep connection with this electric eel as I did with the Loch Ness monster in my dream.

Seconds after that the shock was gone but my body was trembling. I felt weak and my muscles were aching all over.

'Nice going Earl,' a very deep male voice from behind me said with a sarcastic tone. I turned my head in the direction of the unfamiliar voice, but there was nobody there, just the eels.
