The next morning I woke up in the same chair that I sat in the night before. Everyone else had gotten themselves chairs and we practically begged the nurse to let us stay with Jeremy. She only allowed it when Jeremy told her that he wouldn't feel safe if we left him alone. I guess people in this world understood danger a bit better than they would back home.

Everyone was still asleep when I woke up, I looked around and chuckled at their sleeping faces. Jason's was by far the funniest. His mouth was open and he was snoring loudly. Angela was in a strange position, her head was on the one armrest of the chair and her legs were draped over the other armrest and it looked extremely uncomfortable. Megan was the lucky one who got to squeeze in next to Jeremy on the bed.

I stood up, stretched my limbs and then walked out of the room. I was very hungry and I knew the others would be just as hungry when they woke up, but nothing is free in this town and we had no money. I was so hungry that I thought of pawning my necklace, but I finally talked some sense into myself and decided against it.

I had to find another way to get us some food, so I walked out onto the street and looked around for anything I could do. I asked around at the stalls if they needed some help in exchange for money, but no one was interested. Then I knocked on a few doors and asked if the owners wanted me to clean their homes, but yet again there were no takers. I walked around wishing for something decent to eat, when a stroke of luck came my way. I was walking past a pub when I heard a man talking about wanting some entertainment. He was talking to someone on the phone and he sounded angry.

"So you're going to be late, because your car was smashed by a Gorilla and now you have to take the bus? Well why were you out of town in the first place? ... Sorry ain't good enough mate, the customers are getting restless and... Well where am I supposed to find someone else?" He continued and I had an idea. I tapped him on the shoulder and he looked my way and frowned and said, "Yeah, just hold on a second," he said into the phone and then brought the phone down to his shoulder. "Do I know you?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Sorry to bother you, but I couldn't help but overhear your conversation and I could help you out," I said and he frowned.

"No thanks, this isn't a strip club, we need an artist to perform songs on stage," he said and I gasped at his assumption. I looked down at my outfit and I couldn't fathom why he thought I was a stripper, maybe because I was a female and he was a bit sexist.

"Yes that's what I meant, I can sing and play guitar, if you have a guitar that I can use. I really need the money so maybe we can help each other." I said and he smiled.

"Great! I only need you to make some music until the band I booked gets here," he said and then finished talking to the person on the phone. Then he took me inside and handed me an old guitar. I stepped onto the little platform that I assume was supposed to be a stage and I sat down on a three legged round stool that was placed in the middle of the platform. It was out of tune so I had to tune it first and for that I recieved a few boo's and the guy who 'hired' me gave me a sceptical look.

Once the guitar was in tune I started playing some of the songs I knew. I played a couple of Ed Sheeran's more upbeat songs and a few of Taylor Swifts country songs after that I played anything I could think of. The last few songs I had to play on hearing and needless to say I made a few mistakes with them, but nobody seemed to notice since my audience was mainly drunks. By the time the band got there, about an hour later I had run out of songs to play and I was extremely relieved when they took over.
